Chapter 2: Weird

I checked my shoulder again, I even touched it and pinch it but there was no blood, no wounds, even a scatch. I checked my other shoulder and I found nothing too. It couldn't possibly heal that quick, I saw it bleed.

"Bloody Hell," I mumbled. I was more than sure that its nails dug into my shoulder. If I was only imagining things then someone should explain the dried blood here.

"Olive!" I heard him call my name. I winced in frustration yet I hurriedly took a bath and went out. I wore a sweater to cover it up, I knew the notice the bloodstain on my shoulder. True enough he stared at my shoulder once I got out and cringed his forehead. " It seemed fine," he commented. I saw him carefully remove its fur from its body. I never liked wolf meat, it didn't smell bad, I just couldn't bring myself to have a bite of its meat. I didn't know. And got a glass of water from the pitcher made with a bamboo trunk.

"Just scatches," I answered. That one thing was where I didn't know what just happened. I could not tell him about it, he'd think I'm insane. I helped him prepare his breakfast, I set the fire and clean the pot he'd be using. After preparing everything he needed, I went back to my room and massage my neck. The metallic smell of blood filled my nose, making me feel sick. My nose went sensitive today. While my head was pounding mildly, I dived into my bed and went under my blanket. I felt weak today, I didn't know what was going on seriously.

"Get up," I buried my head under my pillow, I didn't know what time already but I'd not going to get up. Then I felt my blanket move down, he was pulling it so I pulled it back. I didn't get up until he had given up. "Fine, let your worms eat your kidney," and I heard him walk out the door, I didn't see it but my ears were clear to hear a loud thud of my poor door. I planned of cleaning today but my whole body was just too weak to do something.

Until I miss the day, I was half-asleep the whole day, and I could hear him constantly asking if I was still alive.

"If you're dying just tell me so I could prepare your coffin." He would drop by my door and yell something like that. That was how he check if I was okay but I'm not in the mood to answer. I refused to speak the whole day and I'm surprised by his patience.

And some strange feeling woke me up, I sat up gasping for air and felt my body burning. I wiped my forehead and realized the flooded sweat all over my body. I closed my eyes and took a long inhale and let it out gradually. I felt my muscle, they were restless, I ache for doing something, and smelled the damp dried leaves around and heard the sound of dancing leaves as the wind blew. I tried to calm my breath but I only went on suffocating. I hurriedly opened my window and unconsciously closed my eyes as I felt the calming breeze of air.

As I opened my eyes, I saw the darkness all over and my attention fell on the little amount of light from the moon, which successfully went through the thick leaves of the trees around the cabin. And I jump out of the window, I didn't know what was happening but I started running insanely. My lips pulled into a smile. The sound of my foot hitting the ground was pleasing, the harsh wind that touched my skin was calming, while the sound of those insects around created a perfect melody in my ears.

Then I stopped on the wide ground, where I could witness the full moon shining brightly. I stepped onto the top of the rock and felt a great feeling. I felt like I regain my strength. Something wiped my smile. A faint howl resounded, my eyes went wide and I instantly jump off and hid behind the tree.

There was something in their howl, it made me feel sick, or I wanted to howl too. Something was climbing in my throat, seemed like my voice was aching to come out. I clasped both of my palms on my mouth to restrain the urge or shouting too. 'What is happening to me?'

I suddenly held my head, it was pounding really hard. "Holy Mother, what is happening to me?" The pain was gradually increasing, I put up all my strength to bear the pain, but when oxygen ditched me, I lost it. I screamed hard, to the point that I hurt my throat and it turned into something odd. It was the sound of a wolf's howl. My eyes widen as I recall the sound, how did that sound come from my throat.

"I did howl, I heard it... no. I wasn't me, it can't be. I'm not a wolf, I am probably dreaming, I should wake up, Tasio should wake me up now." I was panicky, I didn't know what to do. I had gone slapping my body, 'this can't be real!' Then I heard another wave of howling wolves. Instead of fear, it seemed to ask me to do the same.

"Awooooooo!" And I did too, this time it was louder and I heard my bones cracking. I fell to my knees when the pain from my heart spread throughout my whole body. My palms met the ground to support myself from falling to the ground completely. "Awwwooooooooooo!" I tilted my head up and faced the moon. As I opened my eyes again, I met the stunning paperwhite moon above, screaming with power and simplicity yet eye-pleasing.

Finally, the howling of wolves ended, and my gaze fell to the ground. Paw?
