Ronan sat still in his seat, watching and trying to pay attention to what was being said about his mate getting rescued, but his heart felt numb not being able to be close to her. For a moment he felt like it was his fault she was kidnapped. If he had followed her when she ran off after his rejection, she would be by his side right now. He cursed himself for being dumb, not to have caught up with her.

But were his feelings after being rejected wrong?

“Alpha Ronan?!” one Alpha called, trying to get Ronan to focus. We’re waiting for an answer.” The man said.

Ronan cleared his throat and turned to face the man. “What was it you said?” he asked, propping his elbows on the table to lean forward.

“I was suggesting that you not worry about finding your mate. We will come up with something and rescue her for you. We’ve started investigations already; we’ll let you know if we find something.”
