The next morning, Luna woke up with a slight headache. She still hadn’t recovered completely and had a nightmare.

Well, she couldn’t call it a nightmare as it was an event that had already occurred in her life.

She sat up on the bed, sweaty and messy, gripped the sheet tightly and tried to catch her breath. “I miss you, Mom,” she muttered and bit her lip, trying to prevent her tears.

Aliyah wasn’t just her mom but her best friend and biggest fan. Her mom was her backup player in every music she sang for fun; her mom was her teacher at every chemistry competition she won.

Knock

Luna’s gaze moved to the door, wondering who it was. Then it slowly opened, and a figure stepped into the dark, switched the lights on, and had furrowed brows when she noticed Luna’s condition.

“Are you okay, dear?” Cecile, who was dressed in a casual brown gown, hurried over to Luna, who looked like she just ran a marathon, sweaty and with disheveled hair.

Luna managed to pull a smile. “Good morning, Mom. I am fine.”

Cecile raised her brow, not buying Luna’s words. “You know you could talk to me about everything, right? Even your past life… In fact, I really want to know about Luna.”

Luna chuckled, crept to the edge of the bed, and hugged Cecile tightly, burying her face into the crook of Cecile’s neck. Cecile gently rubbed her back.

They stayed in this position for two minutes without saying a word; this was all Luna needed. She broke the hug and met Cecile’s gaze. “Uhm, I will freshen up, okay?”

“Good. After breakfast, we will head to the main building to see Mama’s legal team.”

Luna nodded, jumped down from the bed, and walked to the closet, pulling out white pants and a blue tank top while Cecile helped make the bed.

“Dear, the main building is vacant and thoroughly cleaned up. Do you want me to ask the maid to move your stuff there already?”

Luna chuckled and placed the blue top on herself while checking her reflection in the mirror. “No, Mom, let the house stay vacant.”

Cecile dropped the pillow she just picked up and walked over to Luna. “You… you said yesterday that you wanted to live there.”

Luna shrugged and dropped the clothes on the couch nearby. “How could I let the people who caused Calla so much pain live in there? Wouldn’t it be tarnishing old woman Rose’s memories?”

Cecile looked down at the mention of her daughter, her baby. Luna held her hand and tilted her head to meet Cecile’s gaze. “Only Calla deserves to live there, and trust me, she must be happy wherever she is, knowing fully well that the house isn’t occupied by evil souls.”

“Right?”

Cecile chuckled and nodded. “But Amanda will be so upset if you don’t move in; after all, you made her move out.”

Luna sighed, as if she cared. “Then let her be upset. I will be downstairs soon.” Then she hurried to the bathroom.

“This girl.” Cecile folded her arms across her chest. “I wonder what else she has up her sleeve.” She chuckled and walked out of the room.

After breakfast, Luna walked into the main building with Cecile and Raymond and was surprised to find almost the whole family present. Before she could process everything, Emily hurried and clung to her arm, pulling her to one of the sofas.

“How are you doing, Calla dear? Did you wake up with any fever?”

Emily rubbed her hair while sitting at her left, and Amanda sat at her right. Now she was sardined between them.

“Remember the designer we mentioned? She will be here in the evening,” Amanda smiled at her and pulled her top. “My sister-in-law must have bought these dresses, it’s good but her taste isn’t that great, so when the designer shows up, let me choose for you, okay?”

Luna smiled when Cecile rolled her eyes and occupied a seat with her husband. John Oven and his team just sat quietly while watching the scene.

All they wanted was to meet with Calla and her parents; they never expected the entire family to show up even before them.

Luna glanced over at her so-called cousins who hadn’t tried uttering a word to her, then placed her attention on John.

“Uncle, I am here.”

John nodded and squinted his eyes at his colleagues, who all had helpless looks. No one wanted to take the lead and ask the others to leave.

“You can go on and start, they are my family so I don’t mind them being here.” Luna sensed his hesitation, and her words made Emily cling closer and rub her back.

“Go on, Mr. Oven, we are a close family and all treat Calla like she is our daughter,” Emily urged the man, who felt the urge to roll his eyes, but even he knew that it was disrespectful to roll his eyes at a woman.

So he leaned closer and sipped his coffee. “Tatiana Rose, the former head of the Rose family, transferred every share, building, private jet, and island to your name, Miss Calla Rose.”

Luna nodded; she already knew that. That was the reason Tatiana Rose’s children killed Calla.

“The main company specializes in distributing raw materials, and the other seven are for logistics, paper fabrication, and all.”

“Hmm, the main company is Rose Distribution. I have been managing the company for a while now,” Damien interjected with a proud look. Luna stared at him for a while and nodded with a smile before she turned her attention back to John, signaling he should continue.

“Tatiana’s goal was for you to assign people to manage these companies while you round up with studies. So, Miss Rose, who do you want managing these companies?”

Amanda extended her hand, picked up the fruit bowl, and shoved it to Luna. “Have some fruits, dear.”

Emily rubbed her back more gently and insisted she have the fruits as well, but Luna kindly rejected them. “Baby,” Raymond called out, and all their gazes turned to him. Was he trying to sweet talk his daughter right now? His siblings frowned at him as if it wasn’t the same thing they were doing.

“You could choose someone who isn’t family,” he told her. That’s why he wanted to get her a personal assistant, so she could handle the business without stress.

“That’s true,” one of the members of the legal team backed up the point, when Damien’s first son, Romeo, who was 26 with a low cut, smacked his lips. “There are a lot of business people in this family, why should my sister go through the stress of hiring an outsider?”

Luna raised an amused brow at him. “Who are you?” she asked; her voice was low, unoffensive, and anxious, but Romeo felt a hit in his throat. How could she ask him that now?

Then he was reminded she had lost her memories. “That’s Romeo, my son and also your oldest brother,” Amanda took the liberty to explain before she laughed. “He was also the one who taught you how to ride a bicycle. He helped you climb and taught you to pedal.”

“You mean he pushed her down the hill?” Emily’s oldest daughter, Talia, who was just a year younger than Romeo, snorted in a mocking tone.

She was tired of her parents overdoing character, all trying to garner favor like losing memory meant being stupid.

“Don’t you have to be somewhere right now, Talia? Haven’t you always hated such gatherings? Go… maybe have drugs with your boyfriend,” Amanda laughed lightly, and Talia glared at her.

“If I remember correctly, Calla never loved such gatherings as well, but here she is, so if she could attend then why can’t I?” Talia wasn’t backing off, then she threw a look at Amanda’s last born, Serge, who was 21. “You say I take drugs, I wonder who delivers them to me.” And with that, she stormed out of the place.

“I have better things to do,” she yelled from outside. Luna stared at her disappearing figure with a smile.

“Uhm…uncle,” Luna cleared her throat, bringing them back to their initial conversation. “My father will take over.”

“What?” Damien rose to his feet in disbelief, glaring at Luna like she had said the most stupid thing in history.

“Calla dear,” Emily’s movements on her back became gentler, “I know every girl believes their dad is a hero, and that’s okay, but since you don’t remember much, I will let you know that your dad has no idea about business. He is more focused on carrying out experimental research at the laboratory.”

“Hmm,” Luna nodded in understanding and looked at Raymond, who shrugged. He had gotten into an argument with his mother in the past when he decided to study chemistry at college instead of business administration, but it was something he loved.

“Uhm… so Miss Rose, who will it be?” John Oven was tired of the back and forth. He also hated the fact that Calla’s relatives were trying to manipulate her, but he couldn’t say anything and let the girl make her choice.

“Your uncle Damien has been handling business for years now. The employees and our partners also trust him completely,” Amanda added, and Damien chuckled.

“Well, it’s still up to you, child.” He didn’t want to seem desperate.

“You did well, uncle,” Luna said, and Damien returned her smile.

“So, who should it be?” another member of the legal team asked.

“What did I just say, uncle?” she questioned, still maintaining her smile, and this caused Damien to clench his fist. “My father will handle everything.”

Her decision was made, and no one tried coaxing her again; they could do that later but not now. “Also, uncle, I want every member of the family to benefit,” she added, and their eyes grew with excitement.

“Dad will assign them with other companies to handle, but…” Luna’s gaze swept across the room, meeting everyone’s eyes, “if I die, then I want every asset liquidated and the money donated to the orphanage.”

  • Two Faces Of A Vengeful Heiress   The Plan Is Dangerous

Sebastian Martins sat in the boardroom, his face calm but his fists clenched tightly under the table. The meeting had dragged on for over an hour, and all the board members seemed to do was blame him. Thankfully, Stefan was still hospitalized—otherwise, things would have spiraled further out of control.“Tell us, Sebastian, should we still trust you with the company?” one of the senior board members, Maurice, asked pointedly.Sebastian’s jaw tightened, but he maintained his composure. It wasn’t his fault the laboratory had exploded, so why were they all pinning the blame on him?“I’ll take care of things. Trust me,” he replied confidently, his tone unwavering. He already had a plan in motion—he just needed time. The board members exchanged wary glances before reluctantly agreeing to trust him. As they filed out of the room, Sebastian remained seated, his expression darkening. First, he’d deal with Aiden and save Nova from going bankrupt. Then, he’d come back for these lazy, backstabbi

  • Two Faces Of A Vengeful Heiress   She Was Ungrateful

The next morning, Luna felt much better and quickly got ready for school. She wore a long skirt and a cropped top, throwing a jacket over her shoulders. Before leaving, she stopped by the guest room and knocked, but there was no response. After a moment, she pushed the door open and glanced inside—the bed was untouched. There was no sign of Aiden. Didn’t he spend the night here?“Miss Rose?” a maid called from the doorway, and Luna turned to face her. “Mrs. Green and her daughter are here to see you.”Luna frowned, checking her phone. It was only 8:00 a.m. Why were they here so early? Didn’t Lylah have school, or had something happened?“Alright,” Luna nodded, then hesitated as the maid started to leave. “Um…did Aiden spend the night here?”“I have no idea, miss. I haven’t seen him this morning.”Luna nodded and headed downstairs. By the dining area sat Shelby and Lylah, both looking her way as she approached. Shelby greeted her with her usual warm smile.“Calla!” Shelby hurried over

Aiden rushed Luna to the residence and had Jaden call the doctor. He placed her gently on the bed, noticing how pale she had become."I shouldn’t have stressed her out," he muttered, smacking his lips. She had clearly said she wasn’t feeling well, but he’d been too obsessed with racing and teasing her to listen. He crouched beside her and clasped her hand. "Can you hear me?" he whispered, but her eyes remained closed. The only thing that kept him calm was the steady sound of her breathing. The door opened and Jaden entered with a doctor, a man in his thirties who quickly set down his medical bag and moved to Luna’s side—only to hesitate as Aiden shot him a murderous glare."Is the rate of female doctors really that low?" Aiden scoffed, not sparing Jaden from his glare. He hated male doctors coming near Luna. The doctor frowned, caught off guard by the question. "Of course not, there are plenty of female doctors.""Then why don’t they come to check on her? Can’t everyone stick to treat

Luna stared at Marco for a moment before turning her gaze to Aiden. She knew he had always been a little clingy and all, but she didn’t expect him to discuss her with his friends. Then again, the first day they met, he’d blurted to his friends that she was going to be his.“The race is about to start, let’s go,” Sam reminded them, flashing his car keys. “Stay right behind me, Aiden. I’ll teach you how to race,” he boasted, looking proud. Aiden just snorted. He stepped closer to Luna and, without warning, swept her off her feet, carrying her princess-style. She gasped in disbelief.“Hey!” she scolded, trying to protest, but he was already walking away from his friends with her in his arms. “Put me down, Aidie!” She kicked her legs and hit his chest, but he wouldn’t budge.“What madness is this, Aidie? Drop me already!”“Calm down, baby. How about you go racing with your man?” he grinned, finally reaching his car and setting her on her feet. His arm remained wrapped around her waist, ma

Luna’s expression hardened. She hated being played with, and she sensed that was exactly what Aiden and Jaden were doing. “You have one more chance, Jaden. Was it really a technical issue?” Her patience was wearing thin, and she hoped he wouldn’t make things worse.Jaden smacked his lips. “From your tone—and the fact that we’re going to meet Aiden this late—I’m guessing you think this was his doing, right? Do you really think that if he had such a plan, he’d let me in on it? I’m just a student at his academy.” Jaden wished Luna would believe him; he truly had no idea Aiden was involved in the explosion.“Think about it. He has Alphonse to do his dirty work. Why would he discuss it with me? I really don’t know anything,” Jaden insisted.Luna pondered for a moment and realized Jaden might be right. It wouldn’t make sense for Aiden to share his plans with him—he must have confided in his assistant.“And, Miss Rose,” Jaden said as he turned the wheel, driving through a lonely alley, “are

  • Two Faces Of A Vengeful Heiress   Was It Just A Technical Issue?

It was 10 p.m. when Sebastian drove into the Martins’ home with Sophia. Both looked exhausted and defeated. As they stepped out, Sebastian’s phone rang. The number was unfamiliar. He stared at it for a moment before turning to Sophia.“Go inside first. I’ll take this call.”She nodded and went in. He answered, and from the background noise—bikes roaring past—he could tell the caller was on a highway.“How’s the CEO job so far?” came a familiar voice. Sebastian’s grip on the phone tightened. He recognized the voice instantly—Aiden Orion.“You heard about the explosion at Nova?” Sebastian asked, his tone anxious. He knew Aiden didn’t call for small talk.“Oh, that little explosion?” Aiden laughed, and Sebastian clenched his jaw. He’d been wrong before. This man wasn’t just a psychopath; he was soulless.“Now that you mention it, I remember someone promising to destroy Nova,” Sebastian shot back, his tone filled with rage. If Aiden was responsible for the explosion, Sebastian wouldn’t sp
