William stared at the beach while he stays and lean forward on the rails on his front porch.
Why was she staring at the ocean with those dreary eyes?
He hasn't seen someone in the place who stared at the ocean like that. She seemed so lost. He closed his eyes.
"You can't help her, William! You're as hopeless as her," William mumbled to himself, then he straight up drink the left beer in his bottle.

The next day William decided to visit Brieanna-well actually just spy on her. He went to the resort where she was staying. Why he knows? He owns the resort and he was the one who changed the price for her.
He went around the place but he failed on finding her there. Maybe she's still asleep, he thought.

4:35 PM when Brieanna went out to the parking lot to get to her bike. She got on and started her motorbike then she drove away. She wanted to go back at that place again to make sure there was no one living there.
Not noticing that a car was parked at the side, she stopped at the same spot. She went down and think there was still no one in that house. So, she went her way to the beach. She took out a blanket from her back pack and then laid it on the sand.
Places like this are her only witness to how painful her life is. Only the ocean, the sand, the clouds, the sun, the moon and the stars are her friends. Well, sometimes the rain.
Brie watched the sun which was setting and then she thought maybe at sunset she'll do it. She took out her notebook and pen then wrote down sunset. She sighed in relief as it is tomorrow she will do her what ifs.

William was about to get on his car when he saw a familiar bike. He frowned looking at it. Is she here again? He thought. He closed the door and hurried down then he saw her. He puffed out a breath. The one he has been looking for all day just showed up.
Seeing Brieanna makes him smile. He slowly walked towards her and she didn't even noticed.
"Hey Brieanna," he greeted and she flinched in surprise.
Brieanna frowned seeing William again. "Are you following me?"
"Nope. I was just driving around when I saw your motorbike," Will answered.
"How do you know it was mine?" Brie asked again.
"Well since I'm not a liar, I honestly waited for you to get the bike safe and sound," he replied, showing that irritating smirk.
All Brieanna did was scorn at him as William sat beside her.
"You enjoying the sunset here?" He asked looking at the far side of the ocean.
"Yeah I was until you came," she answered and he chuckled.
"You know, I've never seen someone here who stared blankly at the ocean like you do," Will said.
Brieanna kept quiet as she doesn't know how to respond to him. She just stared at the sunset. She doesn't need anyone like this guy. He will probably make a move, tell her beautiful lies and then did what Fred did to her.
"Do you come to this place often?" She asked him. He could stop her if he continues to follow her. Also, tomorrow is the day she will do it so this guy should stop.
"Pretty much, yeah. Why are you asking?" He asked looking at her.
Brieanna sighed, she put her things inside her bag and stand up. She crumpled her blanket and stuff it in her bag too, not minding the sands. Then she faced him with a fierce look on her face.
"I'm not coming back here. I also don't like you. As I said before, I didn't come here to make friends and I know what you're doing so just stop it. Love can't save anyone, it slowly kills you and it's evil as fuck." After saying that she walked away.
William could just let her go but this time he wants her to see that befriending a stranger isn't that bad. So he ran towards her and hold her hand.
Brieanna got surprised at what he did. She wants to shove his hand but his grip was so tight. He was dragging her back up at where she parked then atlast he stopped in front of her rented bike.
"What do you think were you doing?" Brieanna asked still catching her breath and frowning at him.
William just laughed as if he didn't see nor hear how angry she is. He hopped on her bike and opened his hand. "Key," he demanded.
That made Brieanna to show a grumpy face with her hands on her waist. "Get off of my bike!" She yelled angrily at him.
"No," he said, showing a playful smile.
Brieanna scoffed in disbelief. This guy is too annoying! She glared at him.
"Get the hell off my bike!" She screamed. This time she clutched on his shirt and tried to get him off, but of course he is a man! He is stronger than her muscleless body.
"Why don't you just stop whining and give me the key? I swear, where we're going is a cool place," William told her.
"If I die, Ima haunt your ass!" She warned him. She doesn't have a choice! He was being so insistent so she handed him the key.
"Thank you," he said and grinned at her.
Brieanna got on the to back ride leaving five inches gap between their bodies. She doesn't want to get any closer to this guy.
"Everything alright now?" He asked her, making sure she was well, at-least okay because he knows for sure she's irritated.
"Yeah, yeah. Where on this island are we going?" She asked really annoyed.
"Just hold on and trust me. I'm only going to drive you home," he replied, hiding a smile.
Brieanna's eyes widened when he started to drive on the other way home. She slapped his back. "You're going the wrong way!" She yelled.
"Nope. We're on the right way! Just trust me!" He yelled back at her that made her stop panicking.
On the road she felt really cold so she just moved a little closer to William. Also it was getting dark and she already feel chills down her bones.
Brieanna was about to make him stop driving and to just go straight home but then as she saw what's ahead of them her jaw slightly dropped. Because it's Christmas season, a lot of lights was all over the place, even above the road. It felt so magical.
"Wow!" She couldn't help but yell as she felt mix emotions. She never imagined that she'd feel this thing called happiness again. She really wanted to cry.
William smiled when he heard her getting amazed by the lights. He's glad to hear the happiness in her voice.
Brieanna continued to look around as they fade out of the town's light. She wants to see it again but then every light fades. She didn't even noticed that she was hugging him already and that she was resting her head on his back because she felt sad she can't see it no more.

"So, this is our stop?" William said as soon as they park the motorbike.
"Yeah..." she replied as she hop off the motorbike.
William get off the bike and handed the key to her. "This is goodnight then?" He asked with a smile on his face.
"Yeah and thank you," she answered and for the first time she showed him a genuine smile.
"It's nice to see you smile. I'll get going now," he said and waved her goodbye.
"Wait!" She yelled and that made him look back with a 'what' look on his face. "Uhm... may I know your name?" She asked shyly.
He tossed his head to the side grinning and chuckling. "So now you ask for my name."
"Ugh! If you're going to tease then nevermind," she said rolling her eyes.
"My name is William, Will for short. Also It's not make up," he replied, still playfully grinning at her.
She rolled her eyes again.
"I didn't know you then! But... have a good life, William." Brie flashed a bright lonely smile at William.
William smiled back and wave again at her. She stood there as she watch him fading out of view. Atleast for her last night she felt really happy.
Brieanna just had her free breakfast. She decided to wake up early today for it's her big day. She went to the public beach to just look around at people. How could everyone here be so happy? She asked in her mind. Everyone here smiles as if they don't have problems. When it was around 2:00 PM she decided to go back to her cottage. It's almost time and she had a wonderful lunch and morning so what's there to miss? She packed up her things in her bag. She decided to wear a plain white cocktail dress today, she put on a shade touch of nude matte lipstick, put on some mascara and comb her hair. No messy buns today, it's her funeral.Once she was satisfied with how she looked, she went out of her room and put the key on the doorstep. She hop on to her bike and started to drive at the meet
William was still catching his breath as he got home. He looked at where Brieanna always park her rented bike but there's nothing he saw. So he tossed his head up, frustrated that he couldn't find her!Why would she say have a good life if she won't do anything? She could've said good night! He thought. Ugh! Where could she be?William was about to go when at the far side of the next cliff he saw her spreading her arms. It looked like she was feeling the wind on her face. Her hair was being blown. He sighed in relief that he finally saw her alive and standing. He closed his eyes and looked down for a moment to finally catch his breath. The moment he look back at where she's at his eyes widened, she was nowhere. He frowned at her sudden disappearance.
"Here, change your clothes with these for now," William said handing her his big clothes and his boxer. Brieanna took the clothes he handed. She cleared her throat and looked at the side. "Thank you," she said shyly. "We'll get you new clothes tomorrow. More comfortable ones than my old clothes. Also you can change in that room," he said and pointed a room. "My room is in the opposite side. You're staying with me while you're in this island." She couldn't say anything, it's embarrassing that she's going to stay in William's place. "I'm going out to get us food. Don't try to kill yourself. Be good and feel at home." After saying that William left. Brieanna was still wrapped up in
"You sure you're okay wearing that?" William asked Brieanna for the 8th time now. Brieanna rolled her eyes as she closes the car door. "I told you it's fine. You helped me too much." "You help me more," William uttered and started to drive away. Brieanna doesn't know how to act around him anymore. She's quiet shy that she's indebted to him. At some point, she thinks they were destined to meet. How does a stranger save her like they already knew each other? "Do you surf?" He asked all a sudden that snapped Brie from thinking. "Hmm...no, I don't really." "Well, know how to?" He asked again.
At the house Brieanna immediately changed her clothes. She hasn't returned his clothes because she wanted to wash it first before giving it back to him. After changing, she went out and head to the dining table. She sat down facing William who was already eating. She remember what Dianne told her.New girl William brought...She continues to think about it, totally forgetting that William was in front of her."You know you can ask me if it's really that bothering," William uttered, snapping her out of her thoughts.Brieanna blinked thrice and cleared her throat. She took some hotdogs and bread completely disregarding what he uttered.
"So you basically did that?" William asked Brieanna. "Duh," she said and rolled her eyes. "I did so many crazy things but yeah that video just posted online on itself and everyone thinks I'm a slut and that's just fucked up." William chuckled, thinking that there was really more to this girl. He wish he could bring back the Brieanna she was just talking about. They just finished the fifteenth round of the game and now the sun is setting. "So what about you? How come you're living alone?" Brieanna asked. "I'm all grown up. I'm twenty four for Pete's sake," William cooly answered that made her raise a brow and gasped. "You're five years older than me!" She exclaimed. Not in her wi
"Took you long to get some drinks," Brieanna said, eyes narrowed at William. Being all alone and waiting in a crowded place isn't her favorite at all. "Sorry, I was caught on something," he replied, sitting beside her and handing her the water bottle. "You look like you were enjoying the lanterns though." "Yeah, they do look nice. They seem to light up everything in this night market." "I bet it makes your heart melt." Does it? Well it kind of, she thought. She was used to dark places. The ones that she can think clearly while the soft breeze touches her face or the ones that makes her lonely is her favorite. Something like this feels new to her since it has been a while.
It was time to be on her own. Brieanna took a deep breath and blew it out. Yes, she met everyone already and they all seemed nice but it's a job. It all starts nice.As she enters the kitchen again she keeps a nervous smile, nibbling her lower lip as she makes her way to the big sink. She was not alone, she will be closely working with a married woman in her 30s or so, named Veron."It's okay to get all shaky and slow at first," Veron tells her. "I used to think I'll break every plate here. I ended up my first shift with five expensive plates broken."That does not help her at all. If she breaks a costly plate, that is probably going to cost her five days of working. She should be extra careful. And so Veron taught her everything she needed to know. She was also told not to throw every left overs. Veron told her to segregate it, from the foods that should go directly to waste and the meats and rice they can feed stray animals."Wow, the
