023 - A Beta's Fate, An Alpha's Destiny

I spent the whole evening with Alpha Riley and Alpha Darvin, discussing the possibility of me taking over as the pack Alpha for the Moon Stone Pack.

Although I didn’t want to decline the honor, I knew that I wanted Sofia to accept it as well. I would never step in as an Alpha with an unwilling Luna. And Darvin, I understood.

Everything felt surreal. I was still on a high with having Sofia as my girlfriend, then the news of Darvin’s sickness plus the offer of taking over as the pack Alpha was too overwhelming. My emotions were all over the place, but it was the least of my worries. I was more concerned about Sofia.

I had no idea how many times I checked on her the whole night, but she was still sleeping every time. When the day finally ended, Alpha Riley went home while I stayed behind. I didn’t want to leave Sofia alone, because I knew she needed me more tonight than ever.
