Maya slumped helplessly on the chair, her head lulled back as she tried to catch her breath.

"Y...you...bastard," she spat out, to the shock of the guards standing around. She glared at Zaire, her eyes red rimmed and shimmering with tears, "Who said you could trart me this way?"

Zaire let out a bark of laughter, "Fiesty, I give you that," he said, with an amused cock of his eyebrow, "Well, then again, you were able to outwit Aryan and get away with Romero."

Slowly, the amusement in his voice was replaced with a hardness, and he leaned down to say in her face, "And that was your biggest mistake in life, " He hissed, "Followed by coming to see me today."

Maya trembled, unable to say a word, and Zaire smirked in satisfaction on seeing that.

He straightened up and walked back to his desk, "Although you did save me the trouble of looking for you, it was still stupid," He sat down calmly and smiled beautifully at her, "You must really have a death wish, don't you?"
