CHAPTER 8

ASHLEY POV

I really enjoy researching a champion since it helps me learn more about its statistics and counters, which is good for my team and myself individually.

“Given how easily you controlled Yone for a few days, I think I don't really need to advise you on the strengths and weaknesses of that champion. You have proven your abilities, Ash.” I overheard Jay praising me. I simply grinned and kept playing. I truly appreciate hearing positive feedback about my gaming, especially from another player. Jay was a retired player from the same organization, I just learned. When he discovered that managing the team was more to his liking than playing itself, he stepped down as the team's previous support.

With the aid of my friends, I am able to eventually eliminate all of my opponents after using my ultimate to open the battle. We make a rush for the base, where we succeed.

I stretched my arms and leaned back. I believe I overplayed. My bum aches.

"Big sis, that was wonderful! I enjoy playing with you a lot. We'll definitely prevail!” Blaire turned off his headphones and uttered,” Prior to turning to him, I put mine as well. "Blaire, we can't afford to be lax. We are unsure of who we are dealing with," I said.

"About that, ZTXB wanted to have a practice game with us, I already accepted because it will be a good start to showcase your teamwork," Jay added, pointing to his papers. It doesn't really matter, so I don't bother looking.

Sean called to say that lunch was ready and that we should eat first. I believed that working for a famous organization allowed you to live like a queen, complete with a personal maid. I had no idea we would be doing all of the cooking and cleaning ourselves.  My friends followed suit and rose as soon as I did, going to the dining room.

Even from a distance, I could smell the cooking, which was really fragrant. I was already aware of what he cooked. Bored, I turned to see Danielle, who was smiling from ear to ear.

Blaire growled, "Braised pork in sour soup, again?" before turning to face his brother, who had taken his sit. “Brother! My stomachs spits acids from eating sour soup everyday!” He grumbled, but Danielle only laughed.

Sean, who was taking off his apron, said, "I asked what's for lunch, but no one answered other than the Captain, so I cooked his favorite."

Blaire said, "Sean, please don't ask my brother next time, you will always get the same answer." his brother just laugh.

Braised pork in sour soup is one of my favorite foods but eating it every day was too much.  I'm mainly curious what type of intestine this one has. Not even growing weary of it.

Danielle replied, "Stop complaining, the important thing is we have food," and everyone nodded in agreement.

We are still discussing the tournament that will take place in five months, which I have been rehearsing for about a month.

“For the record, we have accumulated a lot of data regarding the stats of other teams. The XIX Tier is the most difficult opponent we can face. “ Jay remarked. When I heard the group of that conceited guy, I took a look at it. I pushed, "How good are they?"

"Well, if we compare their skills to our skills, I'd say they're superior to us in every way. They have an advantage because they have competed on a worldwide and international scale.” Jay gave a frank response.

He might be the finest or even just good but that still doesn't give him the right to insult me. "I will defeat them," I said, making them turn their heads, which I responded a serious expression and said, "No matter what"

Knowing that they were playing a practice game with the ZTXB, I watched their games right away and evaluated every talent of their top choice. They have millions of Twitter followers, which suggests that they are a really well-liked group. Well, besides their abilities, I suppose I could say that they are all attractive. Instead of an e-sports squad, it appears more like an idol group.

I keep track of each combination they use as well as the spike they were developing. To be able to come up with the ideal counter from our game, I should be aware of every champion they might possibly choose.

I grimaced. There was a problem with them.

Without alerting everyone else, they have started flinging their abilities. It seems so unkempt. I don't anticipate this from professional gaming. Even their lineup wasn't strong. If the users are informed, it might be saved, but they only look like... playing, not professionally.

I sat back in my chair. Exactly what was that? With that level of talent, how could they possibly participate in the competition?

“Hey, how are you? It's past one in the morning, Ash, and you should be sleeping. We still have training at 7 a.m. sharp," I turn to look at Danielle who just arrive. “ Oh, hi there”, I said as I turned to look at the match. "I've been watching ZTXB gameplay, and it just doesn't make sense," I said.

"What about it?" he asked as he settles into the gaming chair next to me.

“Look" showing him what's missing from them, "What type of gameplay was that? Even a 10-year-old can beat them,” I said. Danielle simply chuckles about it. “Why do you watch them play at all, to begin with?” He laughed and inquired.

I said with a straight face, "I just want to be ready; I don't want to lose on my first live match as a member of BLKQ." He gave me a head pat while grinning. He remarked, "Looks like I'm lucky to have a teammate like you." I let out a sigh and turned to the monitor. “I just want to be sure I'm the one who takes down that XIX Tier.”

“Why are you obsessed with defeating them?", he jolts a question. I gave him a serious look as I turned to face him. I said, "Someone's got to pay the price." Danielle asked with a perplexed expression. “What?”

“Nothing; after this game, I'll go to sleep. I declined to answer his query and instead remarked, "You should rest, Danielle. He was reliant to do anything but shrug, so Danielle let me escape. I nodded in agreement, "Okay, just be sure to be at the playroom at precisely 7 in the morning." I said with a smile, "Good night, Ashley." Saying "Goodnight, Danielle."

After he left, I kept track of the things I should be aware of while watching their gameplay. Their JUNGLER was the lone player to do best. He performs more kills than MID. He roams and assists them and is more aware of his role than his teammates. This merely appears to be a 1v5 contest. The team is only improved by him. The others are merely showcasing their attractiveness.

How is it that they would welcome a man like them but not a female gamer like me? This is really annoying. It's not a gender thing! It's all about your talents and skills! Ugh! Life really is unfair!

Shaking my head, I switch off the computer and made a plan to go to bed because I felt like I had wasted five hours of my life. That would have been better spent sleeping.

As soon as I entered my room, I felt as though a lullaby had been performed for me; without even attempting, I fell asleep right away.

“Where is Ashley?” As soon as I got to the stairs, I heard Jay ask. “I'm coming!" I yelled as I ran down the staircase, everyone turned to face me. “Ashley, you are one minute late”, Jay said, checking his watch. "That was excused, right?" When I got to them, I grinned.

“No, 10% of your monthly salary will be withheld for being late”, Jay replied. My eyes grew wider. "However, that just lasted a minute! I growled.

"You are late, even if it's just by a minute. That was the policy of the company, “he said. I searched the rest for evidence that he was joking but came up empty-handed. I muttered, "You didn't even tell me those rules, how am I supposed to follow them? "

"A call time is a call time, Ashley, regardless of the company you work for or whether you are working at a convenience store. When your shift is planned, you must be there. Thus, don't hold it against me for not telling you that. Common reason, Ashley," he remarked gravely.

I chose not to reply because he was correct. I need to conduct myself with more professionalism.

Danielle gave me a pat on the head and added, "I told you to be here at precisely 7 am. "I didn't even know it was this serious," I remarked.

He said, "Now, learned your lesson or got nothing to have." I answered, "Yeah, yeah," and I sat down next to them as they put on their headphones. What a day, ugh!
