Taylor hadn’t answered or returned any of my calls and neither had Leah. I could accept Leah. Taylor was an entirely different story. She never ignored me; never shut me out. Even when I deserved it the most, she was still always there; still willing to please. To not have that now seemed foreign. Her no longer wanting me, no longer willing to have anything to do with me didn’t work for me. Not to mention it hurt like hell on crack. Unacceptable. Seeing Izza’s car in the driveway when I get to her house was even more unacceptable. Why is he even still alive? He should have been dead a long time ago. I should have known Bryan’s help would be worthless. I steeled myself for the confrontation that I knew would be inevitable and knocked on the door. When no one answered I repeatedly push the button for the doorbell.
