Chapter 1
TaylorA bang, loud enough to be heard through my closed bedroom door, echoed through the house jerking me awake. Scanning the bedroom, I waited for another sound as my heart beat wildly in my chest. Moonlight filtered through the thin curtains and in a sleepy haze I wondered why I hadn’t closed the heavy drapes. I knew it was Aaron coming home late again, but my brain wasn’t functioning logically just yet, so I held my breath and waited. His voice shouldn’t have surprised me, but it did.            “Taylor! Where the hell is my dinner?”            I scrambled from the bed, but my feet tangled in a mess of sheets and blankets and I crashed to the floor. Gasping, I tried to ignore the throbbing in my wrist and hip and slipped my robe on as I limped down the flight of stairs. That would definitely l

Chapter 2
Blakely Two beautiful mocha colored breasts with dark chocolate nipples, begged to be freed from the captivity of Jamie’s purple see through bra. I took my time releasing them, savoring the feel of them against my lips, the tips puckered into tight buds as I lavished them with my tongue.             “I missed you. Why’d you stay away for so long?” Jamie mumbled as she twirled a lock of my hair.             She knew exactly why and if she brought it up again I’d stay away even longer. I kept my focus on her breasts, nipping the stiff peak with my teeth, in an attempt to ignore her, but she wouldn’t let up.             “Just tell me what’s so wrong with me wanting you to myself, Blake? It seems pretty reasonable to me. It’s the way relationships are supposed to work

Chapter 3
TaylorToday just kept getting better and better. My anniversary. After dealing with clients who felt overly entitled to having their way, I looked forward to leaving the office and finally spending time with Aaron. He’d called and asked if I wanted to go out to celebrate. I couldn’t believe he remembered, let alone wanted to celebrate, our seventh anniversary. I’d rushed home to get dressed and meet him at the restaurant I’d chosen. I had every intention on being with him, so I’d had the company’s car service drop me off at the restaurant. I could just ride home with him, right? Wrong…dead wrong. We were supposed to meet at eight pm. That was two hours and half a bottle of wine ago. I would hate myself for this in the morning, but I couldn’t stop myself from wallowing tonight.            “Ma’am, we’ll be

Chapter 4
Blakely“Mrs. Carroll, he said he’d be right with you. I think it’d be best if you just wait out here,” Aaron’s secretary called.            I’d waited fifteen minutes before making my way past her toward into Aaron’s office and throwing the door open.            “I’m going to have to call you back, something just barged into my office,” he smirked before ending the call he was on. “The beautiful Blakely. To what do I owe this pleasure?” he asked as he kicked his feet up on his desk and reclined back in his chair.            “Oh, I don’t know, Aaron. Maybe it has something to do with your wife being missing for two days and we still haven’t heard anything from or about her!&rd

Chapter 5
TaylorAfter an episode of me yelling and throwing everything I could with my good arm, which equaled a lot of nothing, Izza and Mimi left me alone in the room. After I finally managed to get up and move around, I checked the doors and the windows. The door was locked from the outside – not weird at all – and the window was obviously too high for me to even consider an option. The surrounding houses were far enough away that no one would hear me scream. I could see the backyard from the room I was in; at least two acres, maybe more. I saw bicycles, toys, a trampoline, and a playground set, but I hadn’t seen or heard any kids. In fact, I hadn’t heard anything in a while. I closed the curtains and slowly made my way to the door. “Hello? Is anybody here?” I waited for a response, but heard nothing. “Isaac? Are you here?” I asked as I knocked on the door. Why was I knocking?    &

Chapter 6
Taylor“Mrs. Williams, there’s a…guy on his way up to see you,” Lydia said from the intercom.            “I told you no interruptions, no exceptions. And why is he already on his way up?” I replied. I’d only been back to work a few days and it was showing. Thankfully I had a great team and things still ran smoothly in my seven-week absence. I had to get out of the house though. It felt like the walls were closing in on me and Aaron had become unbearable. I wanted to give him a chance to plead his case, but the level of betrayal and the conflict he caused between us was just unforgiveable. Being one of the city’s top divorce lawyers had its perks. If I wanted to, I could destroy his entire world. His existence would cease with just a few words uttered from my mouth. Blakely had been trying to get me to do just that, but I didn’t want t

Chapter 7
Isaac            “Taylor, if you don’t let me in, I’m going to cause a scene in front of all your neighbors,” I called out after ringing the doorbell and knocking at least three times.            “Go away, Isaac. Why are you even here?” she yelled back.            “We planned a date, remember?”            “You planned a date, I never said yes. I never agreed to anything,” she countered.            “You didn’t have to. It was understood when you didn’t say no.” She didn’t respond. “If you don’t open the door, I’m just going to stay out here an

Chapter 8
Taylor            “Are you fucking him?” Aaron yelled as he stormed into my office.            “I really don’t want to hurt you Aaron,” Joey said as he grabbed him from behind.            I was beginning to think Joey didn’t get the concept of people being kept in the lobby until I said otherwise. While I honestly didn’t mind it with Isaac, Aaron was definitely not on the welcome at any time list.            “Fuck you, Joey. She’s still my wife, I can talk to her whenever I want,” Aaron said as he roughly pushed him away. “And you have this damn job because I recommended you, so stay in your place.”     &nb

Chapter 9
Isaac            By the time I made it to Taylor’s office she was already there and surprisingly waiting outside for me. Then again, maybe that shouldn’t have been surprising.            “Will I get towed if I park here?” I asked after getting out of my car. I was headed to the parking garage, but I couldn’t just let her stand out in the cold waiting for me.            “You won’t be here long enough,” she said.            Well, damn. “Are you asking me to leave?”            “That’s their job,” she said as she glanced behind her.

Chapter 10
Taylor            The police had been crawling all over the office and our houses for almost two weeks now. We had to spin a story of a jealous ex-husband hiring someone to kill me. As a favor for not letting his wife leave him high and dry, the chief of police ordered twenty-four hour surveillance for me. Yesterday he called to tell me the threat was no longer present so I should be fine. The surveillance had been a blessing as well as a curse. Aaron was forced to comply with the restraining order I had against him, but I might as well have had one against Isaac too. It was funny how I’d spent the last seven years of my life completely engulfed in Aaron, but it was Isaac I missed. Technically, I’d only spent a few hours with him. Well, technically, I should hate him. And technically, only a bottle of wine would solve these nagging problems. I locked my office and headed downstairs.
