Chapter 29

Adrianna's Pov

I straightened my shoulder, took in a deep breath and walked out of the room mechanically with only one goal in mind, which was to ensure my debut as Lorenzo's special maid was a success.

I assisted the rest of the maids with carrying the food to the table and I equally helped set the table. The men hadn't arrived then. I checked my wristwatch, the time was 5:58. We still had 2 minutes to make sure everything was perfect.

I walked over to Lorenzo's side of the table and rearranged his cutlery the way I've seen him do it. Having done this, I walked back to take my stand, where the other maids stood, my back straightened and my neck held high.

Almost immediately, I heard the footsteps of men. Lorenzo was the first man to walk in and we all curtsied to him, I was no exception.

As I curtsied, the only thought on my mind was that I was going to be the maid he ordered for and nothing else.
