Elizabeth

This place felt totally different from the rest of the mansion. The deeper I went, the quieter it became. No one was ever really allowed into this part of the house; Mother called it the secure wing, but I didn't stop, I just kept going as my legs carried me.

The air here was so cold it raised goosebumps on my arms, making me shiver despite myself. I wrapped my hands around myself, rubbing my arms for warmth. This is creepy as hell, I thought, my eyes darting around nervously.

As I turned the corner, I noticed something strange that made me slow down. The doors here were different from the ones in the rest of the house—bigger, made of some dark wood or metal that seemed to absorb the light. And they had symbols carved into them, strange markings that made my skin crawl just looking at them. This place would definitely give me nightmares later; I was absolutely sure of it.

When I finally reached the end of the hallway, standing before the last door, I reached out with a tremb

Nicholai“How the hell do I know your name?”The words tore out of me before I could even stop myself. My pulse was racing, my head spinning. Her face, her voice, it felt familiar, but the harder I tried to remember, the harder it became. It felt like it was locked in a place in my memory where I didn’t have access to.She smiled faintly, her eyes glowing softly as she walked toward us. “All in good time,” she said calmly. “You’ll understand soon enough.”“No,” I snapped, stepping forward. “No, you are going to tell me now, right now!”Nathan growled beside me. “Who the hell are you? You better speak quickly, or your family members will be picking up your remains by morning.”She tilted her head slightly, watching me before moving her gaze back to Nathan. “My name is Tara Elven. My mother… is the head witch of New York.”My stomach dropped. Why was she so familiar? I kept trying to remember, but a sharp pain shot through my head. Then my eyes met hers again.“It was you… wasn’t it?” I

NicholaiNew York was beautiful, but I’d missed Europe so much, and all I wanted was to be back home with Kaima in my arms. Grandma would love her so much— just the thought alone brought a smile to my face. But I wasn’t sure Kaima would ever agree to relocate with me. I just wanted to leave all this drama in New York, but even I knew that was impossible. The bridge stretched before me. I stood by the rails, watching the water underneath, just lost in my own head.I just missed a time when things weren’t this messed up between Nathan and me. Cars passed once in a while, their reflections ghosting in the river. The thought of how terrified Kaima was that night... I just couldn’t get over it, no matter how hard I tried. She had held me so tightly, her entire body trembled. I’d never seen her that scared before. Just the look in her eyes made fear settle deep inside me.Footsteps echoed behind me. I didn’t need to turn to know who it was at least he didn’t chicken out.“Nick.” Nathan’s vo

I kept tossing and turning, but sleep never came. The mansion was so quiet, and every tick the clock made was louder than it should have ever been. I stared at the ceiling for what felt like hours. My chest was heavy, and I hated the feeling. There was a time I actually used to love this place. I used to feel like there was nowhere like home. But now... it felt like every wall in this place was closing in—there was no warmth I so deeply craved.I turned to the side of the bed, clutching the sheets to my chest. I missed him so much, even when I shouldn’t. Why was it so hard to hate him?Even thinking of him hurt so badly.Did he even notice I was gone, or was he probably still trying to impress Kaima? I was supposed to be his Luna—even if it wasn’t real, he was supposed to love me and only me, no one else. But he didn’t.He’d just changed all of a sudden. I knew I was never supposed to feel anything for him, but I did, and I know he felt it for me too. He just didn’t know it. He loved

ElizabethLondon looked the same, exactly how I’d left it a couple of months back, but this place only brought back memories I wanted to stay buried. I stood in front of the mansion, my suitcase behind me. I hadn’t thought of coming back. I thought I’d never have to. But Nathan… thinking about him almost made me almost cry, but I was way too strong to let anyone see me cry.The thought of Nathan, how he treated me so kindly, how he listened when I talked, how he made me so happy. For a moment, I actually forgot I was supposed to be using him. Then he changed… he wasn’t supposed to, but he did.He was only supposed to love me, worship the very floor I walked on, then she came into the picture. My mother always said spells don’t fade unless the heart finds a reason to fight back. Maybe she was his reason.I shut the door behind me and leaned against it. My heart was beating so fast it made my entire body tremble. I wasn’t supposed to come home like this. The sound of heels echoed from a

NicholaiIt was the middle of the night when her soft whimpers woke me up.At first, I thought it was my imagination. The sound was quiet, barely escaping her lips, but then it came again, sharper this time. I turned towards her, and my chest instantly tightened.Kaima’s body was trembling, her forehead covered in sweat, her fists clenched on the sheets like she was trying to hold back something that was pulling her away. She was having a nightmare. “Kaima,” I whispered, brushing a strand of wet hair from her face. “Hey… wake up.”Her head jerked slightly, her lips moving as if she was pleading in her sleep. “Don’t… please don’t go…”I sat up instantly, my hand cupping her face. “Kaima, wake up.”Her eyes shot open, and she screamed. Before I got the chance to react, she was already in my arms, clutching my shirt so tightly it almost ripped. Her entire body was shaking, her heart racing so fast I thought it was going to break free from her chest.“Kaima,” I said softly, wrapping my ar
