Don't you dare stop.

The words hung in the air between them. Final. Irreversible.

Noah's eyes darkened. His hand tightened on her hip. "You're sure?"

"I've never been more sure of anything."

He kissed her. Hard and deep and claiming. His hands slid down her sides, memorizing every curve. Every dip. Like he was trying to learn her by touch alone.

She arched into him, wanting more. Wanting everything.

He pulled back, breathing hard. "I need to ask you something first."

"Okay."

"How much experience do you have?" His voice was gentle. Careful. "I need to know so I don't hurt you."

Heat flooded her face. She looked away. "Not much."

"Leighton. Look at me."

She did. His expression was soft. No judgment. Just concern.

"A couple times," she admitted. "In college. It wasn't... it was awkward. Fast. Not good." She bit her lip. "Nothing like this."

Something protective flashed across his face. His jaw tightened. "Okay. Then we take this slow. You tell me if anything doesn't feel right. If you wa

  • Under His Billionaire Roof   Chapter 26: His Office

Noah couldn't sleep again. The clock on his nightstand glowed 1:47 AM, Monday now technically, but it still felt like Sunday night. One day left. The house pressed in around him, too still, like it already knew she was gone. His phone lit up on the sheet beside him. A single text.Leighton: Come to your office.Nothing else. No emoji, no please. Just that.He stared at the words until the screen dimmed. Then he pulled on gray sweatpants and walked barefoot down the hall. The house was dark except for the thin strip of light leaking under his office door.He turned the handle slowly and pushed it open.Leighton was sprawled across the wide mahogany desk, completely naked. Her back arched just enough to lift her breasts, knees bent, feet flat on the cool wood, thighs parted. The desk lamp painted warm gold over her skin, catching on the faint sheen of sweat already there. Her dark hair fanned out around her head like spilled ink. She watched him with steady eyes, lips slightly swollen,

  • Under His Billionaire Roof   Chapter 25: One Week

Noah couldn't sleep. One week. Seven days until Leighton left his house. Left the city. Left him. He'd tried to let her go. Tried to tell himself it was for the best. That she deserved better than a man who couldn't figure out his own feelings. But every time he closed his eyes, he saw her. Heard her voice asking him to give her a reason to stay. And he'd failed. Couldn't say the words. Couldn't make the promise.Coward.At 2 AM, he gave up pretending to sleep. Pulled on sweatpants and headed downstairs for water. He found her in the kitchen. Standing at the sink in sleep shorts and a tank top. Staring out the window at nothing. She turned when she heard him. Their eyes met.Neither spoke. The silence stretched. Heavy with everything unsaid."Can't sleep?" he finally asked."No.""Me neither."She turned back to the window. "One week left, then I'm gone.""I know."More silence. He should leave. Should go back to his room. Should stop torturing himself.Instead, he moved closer. Stopp

  • Under His Billionaire Roof   Chapter 24: Ultimatum

Noah avoided her for two days.Leighton caught glimpses of him. Leaving early for work. Coming home late. His office door always closed. No midnight texts. No stolen glances across the dinner table. It was like they'd gone back to the beginning. Strangers sharing a house.Except now it hurt worse. Because now she knew what his touch felt like. How he tasted. The sound he made when she kissed that spot on his neck.Friday night, Chloe went out with friends. Left Leighton alone in the house with Noah. She tried to stay in her room. Tried to focus on apartment listings. On packing. On anything except the man down the hallway who wouldn't talk to her.At ten, she heard his office door open. Footsteps in the hallway. Then a knock on her door. She opened it. He stood there in jeans and a wrinkled t-shirt. Dark circles under his eyes. Hair a mess."Can we talk?" His voice was rough. Tired."Okay."He walked past her into the room. Paced to the window. Back to the door. Restless energy radiat

  • Under His Billionaire Roof   Chapter 23: Complications

Leighton made it three days without telling him.Three days of sneaking into his room at night. Of letting him kiss her and touch her and make her forget she was leaving. Of pretending this could last.Monday, she accepted the job offer. Signed the paperwork. Sent it back.Tuesday, she started looking at apartments in the new city. Small studios she could actually afford on her new salary.Wednesday, Noah found the offer letter. She'd left it on her desk. Stupid. Careless. She'd been in the shower when he came looking for her. When she came back to her room, wrapped in a towel, he was sitting on her bed. The letter in his hands."Noah. What are you doing in here?"He held up the paper. "Catalyst Creative. Senior Brand Designer. Congratulations."Her stomach dropped. "I can explain.""When were you going to tell me?""I just... I needed time to process it first.""You accepted three days ago." He pointed at the signature line. "You've had time.""I know.""So why didn't you say anythin

  • Under His Billionaire Roof   Chapter 22: Secret Arrangement

They fell into a rhythm.Days, they were strangers. Leighton stayed in her room or left the house entirely. Noah worked in his office. They passed each other in hallways with nothing more than a nod. Professional. Distant.Nights were different. After Chloe went to bed, Noah would text. One word: *Now.*And Leighton would slip down the hallway to his room. Lock the door behind her. Let him pull her into his bed and make her forget every reason this was a bad idea.Tuesday morning, she had her second interview with Catalyst Creative."You're going out?" Chloe asked over breakfast. Noah was in the gym. Safe."Just errands.""Want company?""No. I'm fine."Chloe's eyes narrowed. "You've been weird lately. Sneaking around. Keeping secrets."Leighton's heart jumped. "I'm not sneaking.""You are. But whatever. I'll find out eventually." Chloe grabbed her bag. "I have meetings all day. See you tonight?""Yeah. Tonight."After Chloe left, Leighton changed into her interview outfit. The same b

  • Under His Billionaire Roof   Chapter 21: Giving In

Leighton woke to a soft knock on her door. She glanced at her phone. 11:47 PM. She'd fallen asleep after crying. Her eyes felt swollen. Her throat raw.Another knock. "Leighton? You awake?"Noah. She should ignore him. Should pretend to be asleep.Instead, she got up and opened the door.He stood in the hallway in sweatpants and a t-shirt. Hair messy. Eyes tired. He looked as wrecked as she felt."Can I come in?"She stepped back. Let him enter. Closed the door behind him.He stood in the middle of her room. Hands in his pockets. Looking everywhere except at her."I wanted to apologize," he said finally. "For earlier. For Vanessa showing up. For putting you in that situation.""You didn't invite her.""No. But I should have made her leave sooner. Should have protected you from her.""I can protect myself.""I know. You proved that at dinner." A ghost of a smile crossed his face. "The modeling comment. That was brutal.""She deserved it.""She did." He moved closer. Still not touching.
