Frio shivered with the rage that he was feeling from the man that was squeezing his windpipe. He knew that this man was someone that he should never cross. But, what can he do? He wanted to find that woman!
[“Why do you need to find that woman?”]
Eon’s eyes were piercing a hole in Frio’s skull in his mind while his thumb was pressing his trachea and he had no qualms to shatter it if the man would answer his wolf with lies.
His wolf was hovering over this pathetic Omega’s wolf and he never felt so good to bully someone weaker than him, other than today.
This man brought out something in him that made him his wolf agitated.
[“I am telling the truth! Please don’t kill me!”]
“Please, I will tell you everything I know,” he whimpered in fear.
Eon dropped the man on the dusty floor where Ehann kicked him to the corner of the room.
“Talk. You have one chance to tell your truth!”
“The woman said her name was Luna!”
Eon stepped back to stand at the corner, letting Ehann take care of Frio. Ever since he left his pack, he didn’t allow his wolf to take over. But in front of this lowlife omega, his wolf has the overwhelming urge to be assertive and take control.
There was more to this man than what he was saying and it was not just about the girl he was looking for.
“Tell us something that we haven’t already known. Like for starters, why in the world would you search for that girl in this place just because the bar name is Luna.”
“You better answer him properly, Frio.”
Frio glanced at Eon who was standing behind this man interrogating him that has a leg that likes kicking him like he was a fucking dog!
[“Promise me you won’t kill me. And could you please, stop your Beta from hurting me.”]
“Please,” he dropped himself on the floor. “I will talk…I will talk, but could you please, stop kicking me,” he coughed, and a splatter of blood spilled on the dusty floor. “My body is frail.”
[“Enough!”]
However, Ehann kicked Frio on his side that made him cough more blood.
Eon was stunned by what just happened. And, it was not because Ehann kicked Frio but he just noticed that Ehann didn’t hear his wolf talking, but Frio does!
[“Are you willing to listen now, Alpha?”]
Frio grinned at Eon from the floor with his mouth full of blood that he got from Ehann’s kicking.
[“How did you do it? How did you keep my wolf from — ”], he glanced at Ehann, and from his expression, he could see that he had no idea what was happening between him and Frio.
[“I am a special lowlife Omega. That’s what I am.”]
“Stop! Please, stop,” he shrank to the corner, pulling his knees in front of him to protect his body from another beating. He raised his hands above his head. “I’m interested in the woman because it is not common for a wolf not to turn in a full moon of its seventeenth birthday.”
“There were records of some wolf who didn’t turn until they were eighteen. Stop stalling! The floor was now dirtied by your blood.” Ehann turned to Eon, and asked, “Don’t you think we had given him enough of a chance to explain himself?”
“Yes! Yes! You are correct. But not when they were already twenty-two and still haven’t turned!”
“This woman you are searching for is already twenty-two but still hasn’t turned?”
Frio nodded. Eon wolf has stopped talking to his wolf, so he has no way to make Ehann stop beating him but to talk. He frankly doesn’t want to spill what he knew to this right-hand man of Eon but he has left him with no choice. Eon contained his wolf and now, his wolf couldn’t talk to him anymore.
“Indeed that’s a bit peculiar,” he scratched his temple, muttering under his breath. He faced Eon who had been unusually quiet, and asked, “What do you think of it Eon?”
“Talk.” he nodded his head to Frio who successfully plastered his body on the corner of the room.
“Not only that she was a recessive wolf… she was also unaware that she's a wolf!”
“Eon, your father would — ”
“Shut up!” he ordered in a thundering voice.
Ehann dropped his head and his shoulder in fear, “My apologies.”
Frio observed the interaction between the two men in front of him. By watching Eon, he knew he made the right choice of coming here, but only if he could convince the Alpha not to kill him.
“That woman didn’t know that she was a wolf, and the Svalosky —"
“The Russian guy?”
Frio nodded to Eon, “Yes, that man. The one who was using the Lux as his personal hangout. That...night, he has the woman at his table. The woman was basically sitting on his lap, but Svalosky doesn’t seem to be aware that the woman in his lap is a wolf!”
Eon walked slowly towards Frio, “But Svalosky is an Alpha. How can he not know that the woman he was holding was one of our kind.”
“That’s why — I want to find the woman. But I’ve been in Lux for a week now and I didn’t see that woman anymore. Some regulars there told me that Luna likes moving from one club to the next. Since this club is — I was hoping I could find her here.”
“What a fucking liar! Eon, don’t tell me you believe this bastard!” He looked at Eon who had squinted his eyes to the man shivering at the corner.
“Come on, man! If that Svalosky couldn’t smell that woman as one of us, how could this jerk know that woman was a wolf.” He strode past Eon to give Frio another beating when Eon grabbed the back of his collar to stop him.
“Answer him, Frio!”
“I’m special…” he whimpered, hugging his knees.
“What a joke!” he spat on the floor. He shook Eon’s grip on his collar and stepped back.
“Ehann, take him to one of the safe houses. And make sure he didn't get hurt anymore. I need something from him.”
“But — Eon?”
Ehann was flabbergasted with Eon’s decision. But he could no longer question him for he turned his back on them and returned to the club. He could tell by the hissing sound of the elevator.
“It was just us, I suppose,” he returned his gaze to Frio.
“Pl-please, do-don’t— ”
Ehann, half-dragging the man who was bleeding on the floor to the special sleeping quarters of the special employees of Luna. There are a few of them that stayed inside the building for protection. At first, Eon won’t agree to it. Until one time, some members of some gang decided to show up to Luna to hunt one of their patrons. Good thing, he and another wolf were on the premises at the time. They were able to contain the situation. But it could have been worse if they weren’t in the building. And that was the only reason why Eon agreed for some of them to stay but to have a rotation. He hates the fact of them gathering in one place at the same time. It reminded him of their old pack and he hated that. “Where is this place?” Ehann was pulled back to the present when he heard Frio’s question. “It’s the sub-level basement.” “Where is the freezer?” He scanned the room and all he could see were bunk beds, a four-seater square table, a sin
“Do you believe that Omega?” Ehann was whipping an omelet in the kitchen of Eon’s penthouse. He was cooking for him even when he didn't want to because Eon hates other people inside his private place. It was just him that was allowed to step foot inside the fourth floor of Luna - the building not the bar. The five-story building was called Luna by Eon even when it was just the bar that was registered as Luna. Ehann was being mocked by the others as Eon’s nanny, and not his Beta—with the things that Eon needed him to do for him. And one of them was to cook him breakfast, every time he had a hangover. “Doesn’t matter if I believe him or not. I’m keeping him because I have a feeling we will need him. How is he by the way?” He walked to the marble kitchen island, his black silk robe was flapping as he walked barefoot on the marble floor. He was wearing a black boxer, a robe, and nothing more. His chiseled body glistened under the fluorescent lamp
When Eon got up from the couch, he grabbed Lina's arm, dragged her from the couch, and slammed her into the wall. His palm slammed against the wall next to her ear. He slapped his open palm against the wall so hard that the inside of his palm stung, but she didn't flinch. Her eyes are fixed on his face as if she couldn't comprehend what caused his outburst. Both he and his wolf were enraged by her nonchalance. However, none of them understand why this woman's coldness and disinterest affect them so much. Although Eon knows he's good-looking, not all women like him. Therefore, he couldn't understand why he was angry when she said he had no chance with her. The Alpha part of his wolf wanted the woman caught between his hot body and the cold wall to submit. Yet, the woman has no intention of submitting. Her eyes were clear with her moist lips agape—like a red rose drenched in morning dew, begging for a kiss. His manhood stirred inside his jeans and Eon felt sham
“Explain to me why you are betting your own life for that girl,” he said with gritted teeth, pointing at the door, leading down the third floor, “...that she is a She-wolf when she doesn’t smell like one!” Frio twisted his hands in front of him, his eyes were glued on the floor. “I can’t explain how it works, Alpha but --” “Do not call me Alpha!” Eon hurled the glass of whiskey across the room. Frio winced while Ehann was standing like a statue next to the mini-bar of Eon’s penthouse. Eon called Frio and Ehann to his penthouse after he met the infuriating woman who wasn’t Luna but Lina! It was just a mistake on Frio’s part and now he wanted to know if it was also a mistake that Frio has been telling him that that girl is a She-wolf! That Lina woman ignored him for the rest of the night. Expect for the part where she called him a stinky dog. She hung out with Frio and didn’t even bother to throw him a glance despite being seated between him and Frio. A
At the VIP section on the second floor of Luna, a familiar woman was sitting with a crowd of women being hit on with some men. Eon gritted his teeth when Lina laughed out loud with whatever the man next to her whispered to her ears. ‘Does she really have to laugh at everything that man said?’ He and his wolf seethe with rage. Well, his wolf was seething with rage, him on the other hand was experiencing a different feeling in his chest. One that he has not experienced all his life - jealousy! “You should stop staring at her or else she would know that you’re falling on her or something.” He clicked his tongue and snapped his head to his sister who was manning the bar on the second floor. “Don’t be ridiculous, Larissa!” Larissa is the only one that could tease him with things just like she said. None of his men would ever dare to say those words in his face. “Eon, we have some delivery in the kitchen that needs your attention.” Ehann’s sudden appearance
Larrisa has been long gone after she changed Lina's clothes and gave her a sponge bath but he was still sitting in the armchair across the couch where Lina was asleep. He brought the bottle of whiskey that he was drinking in his study and drank in the dark, watching Lina sleep. The city lights entered the glass window, illuminating her sleeping face. And every time her soft snore would break the silence of the room, Eon's heart would constrict painfully inside his chest. He was justifying his creepy action as something he could not help because it was his wolf that wanted to watch Lina in her sleep. But of course, he would be lying. Even his wolf snickered in disgust with what he was doing. He exhaled softly in the dark, afraid to make a sound that would disturb her in her peaceful slumber. A while ago, he even stopped pouring himself a drink because he was worried that the slushing of the alcohol into the glass would wake her up. Hence, he was drinking straight
"Lina!" Eon shook her shoulder but Lina didn't wake up and stopped clawing herself. At first, he thought she was clawing at him but after a while, he realized that she was trying to swat something away from her. He was stunned as she started to tear her clothes off her body. "Lina!" He called her again but she was so deep in her dreams that his voice nor him shaking her couldn't reach her brain. In her dreams, Lina was running for her life. She was running in a dark forest with snarly dead tree trunks, clawing her as she ran away from a pack of dogs that had been chasing her. "Hah, hah," she bent down, panting. She put her hands on her knees as she tried to catch her breath. She has been running for ages but no matter where she ran or how fast she ran, the damn pack of dogs always found her. Her legs were giving up on her and she was so damn tired and thirsty from all the running she had been doing. The dark forest also wasn't helping. She loo
When the realization hit Li Na that she couldn’t recall what happened in the club, she freaked out. She tried to keep a straight face, staring at Eon who was lying in the middle of his huge bed, he had his arm as his pillow—chill, and relax. He’s wearing a black silk robe but it was wide open and it showed his black boxer as well. Li Na must keep her gaze from wandering from his annoyingly smug face to his firm chest and abdomen, where she can easily trace the deep line dividing his six-pack abs with her fingertips since it was prominently chiseled. She swallowed her saliva as she looked at his size that his black boxer couldn't hide. She unconsciously wet her lips and her breath hitched as she tore her gaze away from the breathtaking view of his almost naked body. “I’m asking you! What am I doing here at your place?” She masked her agitation from the fact that she couldn’t recall what she did last night behind anger, directed at Eon. “You were dead drunk at
