When We Touch

I gawked up at Rem. I wasn’t sure how to react at first, but I now knew one important minor fact. He felt the pull of our bond too, even if he tried to hide it behind his indifferent demeanour. I smiled slightly and although I said nothing concerning the kiss he had just given me; I allowed my hands to rest on his thighs. My hazel gaze lingered on his face until he dared a glance at me. His face was as red as a tomato, and he seemed almost shy.

His own blueish-green gaze snapped down at my hands on his legs and then back up to my face. He was going to lecture me, I could tell it in his expressions. Yet, when he opened his mouth, he merely paused and looked aside again. He was unsure how to respond. I could tell he was going through the motions of figuring out if he was feeling offended or ecstatic about the touch.
