Growing Up

With time working differently here than on Earth, it felt like no time had passed at all since Max and Hafgan, who we had renamed Harri, had grown up. I had spent as much time with them as my duties had allowed, and trained them in the ways of dragon-kind, along with Healing-Frost.

She had been a wonderful surrogate mother for the twins, and with her on my side, the other ice dragons seemed more at ease and followed her suggestions to work together towards peace. I couldn’t have asked for a better helper than her.

Thankfully, Harri had never questioned his new name or brought up any memories from his past life as Hafgan. Both me and Healing-Frost had been keeping a close watch on him and his mind, just to be certain. I wasn’t sure if the phoenix had planned for the two souls to be split into twins, or for Harri to not have his memories, but I was thankful.
