Honeymoon Bonding Ritual

Gazing around the hotel, I couldn’t help but feel somewhat nostalgic about being back in the mortal world. We only had the weekend before our time ran out. There were too many royal duties to take care of, and for only so long, I could leave Harri in charge. Though he wasn’t entirely alone. My father had agreed to act as his advisor.

While he wasn’t sure about Harri, he saw no reason to spark up the old rivalry he and Hafgan had once shared. He merely felt it was best to make sure Harri had someone to help him if he needed it.

“Are you thinking about home again?” Max said, catching me in my thoughts and calling me out on them. He smirked and shook his head. “They’ll be fine,” he added and ushered me further into the hotel.

The mortal realm seemed no different. The slight imbalance had done no lasting damage to how things worked. In fact, the humans had not even noticed any differences, and still did not know about the supernatural beings that shared their space.
