No Simple Fix

My words have the group surprised, but more so my anger at Rakesh’s foolish wish had them worried I might hurt him. Fortunately for the fool, killing him now wouldn’t fix things, nor would it make me feel any better.

“I don’t think he meant for it to include Gods and spirits,” Kayden tried to assure me. I knew he was right. It wasn’t as though Rakesh meant for this to happen, but he should have known better than to be vague with the spirits.

What was worse was he didn’t remember any of this himself. Had he remembered, then I could have fixed his mess before it got this far. Unfortunately, it had been far too many years that this would not be a simple fix.

Looking back at Rakesh, Kayden offered a comforting smile before he returned his attention to me. "He only meant to include the Ancient Ones. We were once humans after all. So it would make sense to wish for them to return to being mortals. Right?"
