I was still looking at Xavier, trying to digest how simple yet profound his last words were. My hands fidgeted, tracing the edge of the blanket, while my chest felt lighter yet unsteady.
“I don’t even know where to start,” I confessed faintly.
Xavier raised an eyebrow, then smiled faintly. “You can start with one word.”
“One word?” I repeated uncertainly.
“Yes,” he nodded. “Write one word that best describes your heart right now. It doesn’t need to be a full sentence, doesn’t need to be pretty. Just one word.”
