27. Planning
We were ready before the 8'O clock, to leave. Brother, Adam and I were on our way with a driver. Yes a driver, he didn't permit me to drive. The driver will be dropping and picking us. We arrived in front of a huge university which was surrounded by snow. Trees lined around the gate, covered by the snow in the same manner. The green and white color environs the university. The principal accepted me gladly and I can start tomorrow. The next stop was a school for Adam. It was building covered on three sides like a reverse U shape, with a huge playground under a blanket of snow. The playground starts at the entrance and ended up reaching the building on three sides. Adam was accepted too.

We were in the kitchen, Ayra and I. She was beating the egg yolk while I was mixing the sugar with the egg white. I tried calling Jafferys, but my calls haven't been answered yet. the reaction i got from the class was expected, they stared at me as if i had jumped down from a ufo. they murmured among themselves, as i joined at the end of the year. after a little introduction, the class starts. classes went on one after another. i didn't talk with anyone, neither anybody tried to talk with me. whenever there was free time, either i would write my notes or read a book. i was standing under a tree, waiting for the driver. now i felt how adam will use to wait for me. kicking the snow under my feet, i was lost in a book when a 'beeb-beeb' sound distracted me. closing the book i walked to the car, adam was already in, i sat beside him into the back seat.without paying much attention, i resumed my reading. hearing a sound i looked around, windows were closed. after a minute or two, i heard the sound agai"adam, did you hear anything?" i aske"no." he replied quickli heard it again and this time ve

I stood there astonished when the man declared his identity. My clouded eyes couldn't leave his sight when those words contracted my ears. Taking a step back from him, I blinked to make the view clear. It was the same man, whom I stamped in the crowd. This cannot be true, all this time- before I could complete my thought other thought interrupted. Is he another kidnapper? Stepping back several steps, I was surveying my driver who was nowhere to be found."Levy listen to me." He said while taking a step towards me.How did he know my name?"Back off." I snarled, tears leaving my eyes."You don't have to fear me." He stepped forward, making me mirror his action oppositely. "Ok, I am not moving." He stood still in this position."Who sent you to kidnap me?" I asked. This was a stupid question, why would any kidnapper would tell that. But my mind wasn't running fine to ask any proper question.

Sitting in the class with my head resting on the bench, I was thinking of what to do. How should I explain this to my brother? It's really hard for me to believe and impossible for him. I was staring at my hands holding the phone. Should I talk with someone? But with whom? Only if Loren was here, I could discuss it with him. He always had answers to my questions and he somewhat knows about my father, I didn't know what I told him back then. Here I again started thinking about him. Time marched by days into months and months into a year. Everything in my life has changed but one thing remains the same. Years ago, I wouldn't have pictured my life the way it is now. Our little family had grown. Brother is engaged with Ayra and father is living with us. Even after a year my mind can never let go of Loren or it's my heart that is still holding Mr. Black. My eyes couldn't believe what they saw that night, neither my mind could contemplate why he was there. Was I hallucinating? No, I wasn't. If it was a hallucination, this could have happened a long and time ago. He was real, but how? Was the question that was killing every brain cells of mine. In between two days, time passed and I was lost in my thoughts. The answer to how he was there? What was he doing? and why at the funeral? Will be answered only if, I know who that woman was. And the question, who she was can be answered by only one person, Ayra. I didn't dare to ask her anything about her friend, I wanted to give her time till she comes out of her somber.I got off the bed, freshened up and went into her room. She was sitting on the bed, hugging the pillow. Even after a couple of days, she wasn't normal. Taking a deep breath, I entered and sat beside her."Ayra?"
