11: Drawing The Battle Line
Nick felt a combination of different feelings building up inside him; anger, hatred, helplessness, sadness, and a whole lot more.
He was completely pulled out of the chair with the fact that Mario could go this far by hurting his family -- but what would you expect from a demon; a Duke of Hell?He looked at Mario with hatred burning in his eyes and his blood boiling inside of him."How. Dare. You?!"Nick shouted so angrily with a very loud voice he never knew he could use.He ran over to his parents and sister and tried loosening the bonds around them but to no avail.
The bonds were enchanted. It gave him a wild jerking zap of electricity which made him stumble back.
"You know, you could have just told me to loosen the bond." Mario said coolly, striding towards Nick as though nothing happened.
"How dare you?!" Nick repeated, venom laced in his voice.

"I'm ready for war, Mario, it's no more play time."Nick was fuming as he said those words.He looked at Mario who was still crouched down on the floor."Are you ready?" Nick asked him."Darn, ask me that again," Mario replied without interest.Nick was angry and stamped on Mario, but to his surprise, his feet went through Mario's body and he felt a cold hand on his neck strangling him.Mario disappeared from the floor and as Nick turned back, he noticed that it was Mario strangling him."Now, let me reverse the question: 'Are you ready? When you know you are in danger but still know you can stop it, but you have a feeling you might fail, you feel weary and defeated. Nick felt that but knew there is no turning back. With the humanoid gone, Nick and his troop moved on, heading to the direction of the beam. Their troop got in contact with the others and they all agreed to meet there. They got closer and closer until they reached a place which looked like a cascade of hot boiling lava. But, it wasn't lava, it was blood! What the...? "Help!" Nick heard his mom. He looked down and saw his mom and sister on a floating piece of rock. "Mom!" Nick shouted as he tried flying down but the heat sent him floating up where he met Tereq and his troop. The heat was intense and took controlled over their wings. "No!" Nick cried. "What's happening, Tereq?" Erik asked, looking up at them. "I don't know. The heat is intense. We all tried flying down to get them but ended up getting stuck in the air."

"Now that everyone is safe, we need to go shatter Mario's plan, while the others look for Mr. Phillips." Erik announced when he had brought all angels down."Master, I can assign the others to look for him, while the rest of the army follows you," Mick, who was a warrior, spoke."Yes, do that while we go. There is no time to waste," Erik paused, counting out twenty angels, "You should take them with you, while I need eleven hundred warriors to plan a surprise attack.""That's very thoughtful.
