Chapter 20: Make This Marriage Work

It has been three hours since Max invited Corina into his office. Amber couldn't help but feel jealous and betrayed. But she didn't want to think of Max in that way. She needed to trust him that he won't do anything else with Corina other than talking or catching up.

After painful hours of waiting, Corina finally emerged out of his office doors. The wicked woman's appearance looked messy. She gasped embarrassingly upon seeing other people waiting in the living room.

Max was an hour late from his therapy. The doctor and the therapist had to cancel a few of their appointments just to adjust their time with his therapy.

"Max-" Corina turned around, but paused because of his cold expression.

"Get out." he gritted.

Corina flinched and scurried out of the house.

"My apologies for being late. I had to deal with something important. Let's go." Max said to the doctor and therapist. Both of them stood up and followed Max except for Amber.
