Chapter 5

"Tell her that I said no"

"Luna doesn't take no for an answer,you know that right?"

I couldn't believe it. They were literally talking about me as if I wasn't too here. Doesn't my opinion matter?

I slowly backed away from them and headed towards the door . That's when a stupid chair came out of nowhere and made me trip. I unluckly if that's even a word, landed on the exact place that I hurt earlier. 

If that wasn't enough both the alpha and Jaxon turned their attention towards me. 

The alpha growled.

Oh come on, I was the one who got injured not him.

"Forget what I said Jaxon ,you can take her to her right now"

Ok that stung. Was I really unbearable to live with. The alpha's eyes were cold and full of hate. I lowered my head and made an effort to stand despite the pain. Enough of being weak. Enough of being sad. None of them deserve me anyways.

None of them could ever deserve me so screw it.

To hell with formalities.

"That's it I'm done with this shit ok"

Both Jaxon and the alpha looked surprised.

Didn't expect me to have a backbone huh

"You want me gone that bad ,fine,I'll leave,it's not like I enjoyed your company too"

"Shut up human!"

"Don't you dare raise your voice at me dog"

Ok that went a little bit too far. He balled up his fists and bit his inner cheek hard

"I don't tolerate disrespect"

"Likewise"

"Jaxon get her out of here before I do something I might regret".

"You know ,letting me leave with him,an unmated wolf would be one of the many things you will regret right"

"Andrea" he yelled .

Ha! He actually knows my name.

"You know what, I feel sorry for your mate alpha and if you're not  careful ,she might as well go for your beta because at least he gives a shit about stuff.

And with that ladies and gentlemen,I walked away. 

I didn't know where I was headed to, I just followed the lights. That's when I felt a gust of wind against my arm.

"That took some serious guts"

"Go away Jaxon "

"Feisty Andrea is so much better than the current quiet one"

"If you're done talking you can leave"

"Wait, I have to take you to the Luna's house"

"I don't want to go" I said quite blantly

"Fine"

The walk to the place was quick and Jaxon managed to calm me down. He left as soon as we arrived. 

With calm breaths I knocked the door and waited for a response. The door soon opened and I was yanked in. Literally.

"Dear"

"Emelda you nearly gave me a fright"

I said as I pulled away from her bone crushing hug.

"I heard about how my son treated you dear and I truly apologize. I didn't raise him that way"

"It's ok Emelda ,I've been through worse"

"Anyways, I have another plan and I'm sure that this time it won't fail"

"About that Emelda ,I don't want to be part of this anymore"

"What do you mean"

"I want to leave, go to the human realm and start a new life"

"I'm afraid dear I can't let you do that"

"Why not?"

"It's complicated and extremely unsafe for you to leave "

"Why?"

"You won't understand dear but I can't let you leave"

"I don't want to be with your son Emelda "

"Andrea"

"Please don't make me go back there"

"I won't ,I promise"

"Ok"

"Then I guess tomorrow we'll go to the orphanage instead"

Children . I don't know why but I always had a liking towards children. Seeing them happy and being all innocent gave me some inner peace.

Maybe it's the fact that I didn't have an easy child hood or something of the sort 

"Why?"

"Because it's where you'll be helping out . You see dear ,in our pack, everyone has a responsibility regardless of age and apparently since you can't be with my son and get the title of Luna, it's the only place suitable for you,but if you aren't comfortable,I'm sure we can get an alternative."

"No, it's ok, I love children"

" Well it's settled, tomorrow at eight we should be there "

I slept that night with a smile on my face. At least something good was happening to me. I just hope I don't screw it up
