SCARLETT’S POV

I hurried out of the room when the doorbell rang. That must be Lorenzo.

“Hi,” he greeted with a smile.

“Hello! Come in. You’re early?”

He stepped into my apartment, looking around at the interior before responding.

“Of course! I wouldn’t waste a second not being with you.”

“Hahaha, whatever, Lorenzo,” I said, surprised at how playful he was. He used to be so quiet. We actually saw each other earlier today while I was painting murals. I didn’t recognize him right away. The last time I saw him was five years ago, he was scrawny and lanky. But now? His body was well-built, masculine.

We didn’t get to talk earlier because I was in the middle of work, so we agreed to just have dinner instead.

“One moment,” I remembered I was still on the phone with Jessica. I quickly ran back to the room to say goodbye.

“I like the interior of your apartment,” he said with a smile when I returned.

“Thank you! Let’s go,” I said, inviting him along.

We walked since everything was just nearby.
