Chapter 4

It's going to take so much effort for me not to regret what I am doing right now. I shouldn't be here in the first place, now I have gotten myself into a deep mess and I must do what she told me to be saved.

The car stopped at the company, my heart stomped faster as he opened the car door for me to get down. I feel so awkward and somehow guilty. Have never done something like this before. I just want everything to end but I can't do everything as she says. I exhaled before walking inside the offices. All eyes were on me but I chose to ignore what they thought about me and do whatever it takes to make the man notice me.

I was directed to her office because I'm her assistant. It was beautiful and spacious. There is a glass separating the office but I will be able to see her if she says anything or signals to me.

I searched through the files on the table before she came. I can't believe I am working at Gaston's company. It felt real but the consequences are something I won't dare think of right now.

I sat down on the chair thinking about the next thing I am going to do but my heart keeps beating faster.

"The boss is here, '' one of the office attendants muttered, my heart almost jumped out of my chest. The fear I felt is something I don't know why I fear.

I checked my posture, I don't know but I felt nervous seeing the boss for the first time and what I am about to do gives me goosebumps.

Finally, I saw his face, he's fucking handsome I thought to myself his eyes were brown and his lips were small pink , as he curved a smile.I couldn't help but drool but there was something off about him the look on his face differ from his appearance, seeing him makes my heart thump faster have never felt like this before.

"Good morning sir, I am the new assistant here,'' I muttered, bowing my head but he didn't even spare me a glance.

"Ohh, yeah Natasha told me she's hiring a new assistant for me and her but I don't know if it would be this fast he said to her and she smiled slightly at me.

"Don't you know how to introduce yourself?'' she said with a strained voice and I raised my brow at her.

"I'm sorry ma, am Ella Elliott and am glad to be working here at the Gaston's Company and I will oblige to the rules here."

"I'm impressed,'' she said as she walked away with him. I heard him call his name Gavin. He was smiling at her as they both walked to his offices.

Wait, she was just laughing with him now and why on earth would she wanna destroy him when she was his friend? I don't know what to do again. I should keep my head straight if I wanna let the plan work, I shouldn't do things rashly here.

It wasn't my fault if I wanna destroyed everything he ever has, I loved Gavin so much but he didn't ever notice how much he has hurt me so deeply, I didn't want to take my revenge but I just couldn't help it's the scars he has given me hasn't healed up despite the fact I don't want to show how ruthless I can be. That is why I am going to make him pay for everything. I will use her as my weapon and I will be his weakness. I want him to kneel at my feet and beg for his dare life. I will shatter him and make him feel the excruciating pain I felt for years.

"Gavin! I muttered as I walked to his side he was smiling at me as he surfed with his system.

"Do you like the new assistant I hired don't you think she's pretty ?'' I whispered and he raised his brow.

"C'mon are you kidding me? I told you I don't want any personal relationship with any of the company's workers, I can't be attracted to her or anyone, not even you'' he said without sparing me a glance.

"Aren't I beautiful enough for you to fall in love with me?'' I said and he stopped abruptly.

"Gosh! Natasha, are you kidding? Don't you know you're older than me and you expect me to have feelings for you, you're like a sister to me and I can't think of having an affair with you he muttered bluntly as he smiled at me?

"Gavin! Don't you dare come to me after realizing what you've done?

"Natasha I don't know why you're like this Ok but have told you what I felt is right he muttered as he continues typing please tell the others to get ready for the board meeting dad is coming today after a very long time he said, my body shook ,the person I hate most is going to be here, his father even the sight of him repulsed me I will be off, for now I muttered trying to get hold of myself.

Getting to my office the flower vase that is placed on the door side broke. I felt like screaming my lungs out but I can't let my anger out here in the office. Natasha cool down you don't have to let anger get the better side of you I whispered to myself.

I took my phone and checked my messages. It's from Dave. I asked him to watch over Ella's parents and if something happens he shouldn't hesitate to tell me about it.

~Her mom is having cardiac arrest. What should we do?

I called the landline immediately.

"Dave, you have to call the doctor now. You mustn't allow anything to happen to her or else you're as good as dead if she's hurt.

"You need to do CPR right now. I will call the doctor.
