Chapter 5

Oh gosh! What the hell is happening? I muttered her mom she can't die now. I called the doctor already. I hope Dave will be able to perform the CPR, someone knocks it's distracting me from what I was doing.

"Good morning ma, it's time for the board meeting, you should be there by now he said and I arched my brow at him. Will you get the hell outta here I screamed as I bang my hand on the table? That's man Gaston himself. I hate his face. Not only do I want him to feel the pain and know how it feels to trust someone, but I also want him to know the feelings of betrayal and see what I am going through isn't susceptible.

I turned off my phone so it wouldn't distract me at the board meeting, gosh! I can't believe her parents' lives are at stake. I don't want to hurt any of her family but if she proves to be stubborn I will teach her a lesson she won't ever forget in her life.

Everyone assembling, including Gavin, waves his hand at me so I can greet his Dad. I shouldn't be doing this, my heart thump faster, I was getting furious. Natasha, you have to keep your head straight now I thought.

"Good day sir, am Natasha I muttered stretching my hand for a handshake as I fake my smile. You look good and beautiful. Thanks for the compliment. I appreciate it. I muttered as he let go of my hand gently."

"Natasha, have you seen me before? He asked as I tried to walk away from him. "No, I have not ever seen you,'' I stated and he smiled."

"You seem like you met me before and you hate me so much,'' he whispered as I busted out laughing so hard.

"Oh! It's just that I am not really the type that her face is always cool, my face might not be cool but trust me I am a very good person you can trust me I handle the company well I muttered and he smiled as he sat down on the chair.

I gestured to everyone to sit there, his gaze was fixed on me. I really don't know why the hell he was staring at me. I can't let them see through me my plan can't be ruined now am the verge of losing everything if I act stupid.

I wasn't bothered by his gaze. I was the one choosing to do the opening speech.

"I know everyone is surprised to see the chairman and owner of Gaston company and am not quite in shock to see him appear, nonetheless he's still the owner of the company and he has every right to do as he wishes."

I don't know why dad hesitated he's come to the company today. I told him I could handle everything properly but he didn't think I could.

He still think am incompetent to handle the company on my own. He's loves me so much that he doesn't want any single thing to happen to me am the heir and his only precious son. He would go around the universe to do anything I want and I loved both of them so much. We've gone through hell before we acquire the wealth, and now we're the richest here in New Jersey I will do anything to keep the family heritage. I told him not to hold a meeting but he wouldn't listen to me. Natasha she as being a very good friend of mine. She was the only girl that stays by my side in time of tribulations and am happy she's still staying. But I took her as my sister's I don't want to start a mess between us that's why I kept my distance. I'm a very cool guy, I don't have any relationship am a workaholic. My parents use do told me to get a girl for myself. I haven't told them about Natasha but they do know I always talked to one person, and she half of me I trusted her so much..

I didn't notice the new assistant she told me she was hiring, I caught a glimpse of her and I couldn't take my eyes off her. Not in my life have I ever glanced at a lady for a very long time, she batted her lashes as she smiled lightly, gosh! Her smiles it's beautiful, I felt her hand touch me and it was my dad.

"Gavin! Why are you lost staring at the girl over there? `` he whispered and I smiled."

"It's nothing, I was just looking at her. It's her first day here and everyone loves her. She's jovial and carefree, I muttered as he stared suspiciously at me."

"Don't give me that look I whispered as he smiled, you can't lie to me Gavin I will see you at the house he winked at me, I tried not to light my ass out.

After what seemed like forever he was done with everything and he was announced as the new CEO of the company. I couldn't believe he trusted me now he handed everything about the company to me. I'm overwhelmed he finally did what has waited for so long.

"Congratulations Gavin Natasha mumbled, she embraced me. I felt she smiled showing her dimples and gap teeth."

Sometimes I feel guilty and think she shouldn't be with me. She has to start a new life. Have known her for a long time and she has never told me she's going on a date. Sometimes I think she doesn't want a man in her life. I don't want her to think maybe i'm the perfect man for her cause am not I told her she's like a sister I cared a lot about and I wouldn't want any guy to hurt her. I'm thinking of matchmaking her with one of my friends that stays in San Francisco. I don't know how she's going to feel.
