The afternoon sun cast a golden glow across the expansive, manicured gardens of the De La Vega Estate. Isabella stood near a white marble fountain, watching the water cascade into the basin. Her ivory mid-length dress rustled gently in the breeze. She looked like a classic painting, serene and untouchable, yet inside, a rare nervousness fluttered in her chest. Today was the day Adrian Sebastian was arriving.

The heavy, low purr of a high-end luxury vehicle drew her attention toward the grand cobblestone driveway. A sleek, midnight-black sports car pulled up, flanked by two armored SUVs. The doors opened seamlessly. A tall man stepped out, and the entire atmosphere around the estate seemed to shift under the weight of his absolute presence.

Isabella caught her breath. Three years had completely transformed Adrian Sebastian.

He was no longer just the gentle, reliable boy she had left behind. He was devastatingly handsome, carrying an irresistible, jaw-dropping aura that could command any room. He was dressed in a bespoke charcoal-grey charcoal suit that clung perfectly to his broad shoulders and tall, athletic frame. His dark hair was styled back, revealing a sharp, aristocratic jawline and intense, piercing eyes. His masculinity was raw, powerful, and utterly intoxicating—the kind of look that made women’s hearts drop instantly.

Adrian walked toward her, his long strides confident, his dark eyes locked entirely on her form. In his large hand, he held a massive, beautifully arranged bouquet of rare, deep midnight-blue roses—flowers so expensive and unique they had to be flown in from Europe.

"Sabel," Adrian spoke, his deep, velvety voice sliding over her skin like warm silk, carrying a heavy, undeniable authority.

"Adrian," Isabella murmured, realizing her voice was slightly breathless.

As he stopped a mere step away from her, an unexpected, heavy wave of awkwardness settled between them. Three years ago, they had been the closest of friends, sharing secrets and laughter without a care. But now, they were mature adults. The air between them was thick with a new, suffocating tension. As Adrian looked down at her, the mask of the cold multi-billionaire slipped, and his long-hidden, consuming feelings for her dominated his gaze.

Three years ago, he had made the greatest mistake of his life by remaining silent. He had allowed the woman he loved more than life itself to marry another man. He had watched her walk into the arms of a worthless fool while he retreated to Italy, burying his grief by building a terrifying, multi-billion-dollar global empire as a feared mafia boss. But this time? This time, he would never let her go. She was free, she was home, and he would burn the world down before he allowed her to slide from his grasp again.

"For you," Adrian said softly, extending the bouquet of midnight roses.

"They are beautiful, Adrian. Thank you," Isabella replied, taking the flowers. Her fingers brushed against his, and a jolt of electric awareness flared between them, making her look down to hide the flush on her cheeks.

"Let's walk," Adrian suggested, gesturing toward the sprawling labyrinth of the garden.

They strolled side-by-side along the stone pathway, the quiet melody of chirping birds filling the initial silence. Adrian kept his hands in his pockets, his sharp eyes occasionally scanning the perimeter out of instinct, but his focus always returning to her.

"How have you been, Sabel?" Adrian inquired gently, though his voice held a deep undertone of protectiveness. "Mang Tomas told me a few things... but I want to hear it from you."

Isabella's hand tightened slightly around the stems of the roses. Shyness and a sudden pang of embarrassment washed over her. She did not want to discuss the details of her life as a submissive housewife. She didn't want to humiliate herself in front of this magnificent, successful man by admitting how much she had sacrificed for a husband who ultimately traded her for a cheating secretary.

"It was a nightmare, Adrian," Isabella said, her voice turning crisp, cold, and entirely final as she stopped to look at him. "Three years of a horrific nightmare. But I have finally awakened. And because I am awake, I will never allow myself to be haunted by those illusions again."

Adrian stared at her, his expression hardening into a mask of pure, dangerous steel. He wanted to rip Rafael Villarigo apart for making the queen of his heart feel even a shred of shame. But seeing the fierce determination in Isabella's eyes, he controlled his dark impulses.

At this point, both of them felt too constrained by the heavy weight of their pasts to fully confess everything that had happened. The unspoken words hung heavy in the air. Realizing the vulnerability of the moment, Isabella masterfully shifted the direction of their conversation, focusing entirely on the future.

"Papa is organizing a grand homecoming banquet for me in a few days," Isabella explained, her composure returning, cold and classy. "It is the event where I will formally accept my executive responsibilities as the sole heir of the family corporations. Adrian... I want you to be my escort for the ball."

Adrian’s lips curved into a rare, breathtakingly handsome smile. "It would be my absolute honor, milady."

"I refuse to face high society carrying the stench of failure from my past marriage," Isabella added, her dark eyes flashing with absolute authority. "I want to walk into that hall holding my rights in my hand. The right to be respected. The right to be valued. I will be a Lady Isabella so pristine, so powerful, that even a common fly would be ashamed to land on me."

Adrian’s smile deepened, his eyes burning with intense pride. "I will ensure that anyone who dares to look at you with anything less than absolute reverence will answer to me, Sabel. We will show them exactly who you are."

On the other side of high society, a storm of financial desperation was brewing inside the office of Villarigo Construction.

Rafael Villarigo slammed his palms onto his mahogany desk, staring at his computer screen in absolute panic. "Dammit! If we don't secure a massive injection of capital or get a credit extension on our building materials this week, our upcoming high-rise project will completely collapse! We are looking at a multi-million loss!"

Ever since Sabel had walked out, the invisible shield protecting his company had vanished. Unbeknownst to Rafael, the elite material plants and major contractors who used to grant him effortless favors had been ordered by the De La Vega clan to squeeze his budget tightly. He was drowning, and he had no idea why.

Sofia Astor, dressed in a tight designer suit, hurried into the office with an excited look on her face. "Rafael, Honey! Take a look at this. I found a definitive solution to our business crisis!"

Rafael looked up, exhausted. "What is it, Sofia?"

"High society is completely buzzing right now," Sofia boasted, leaning over the desk. "The wealthiest clan in the country—the one with connections to every major supply chain and bank—is hosting an incredibly exclusive homecoming banquet. It's for the return of their sole Heiress, who has just arrived from abroad. If we can get a single slot to speak with this multi-billionaire heiress, we can pitch our construction business! One nod from her, and your empire will flourish like never before!"

Rafael’s eyes lit up with sudden hope, but it was quickly crushed. "But Sofia, an event of that caliber is impossible to enter. The invitations are restricted to the top tier of billionaires and diplomats. We don't have the status."

Sofia smirked, pulling a pristine, gold-embossed envelope from her luxury purse. "Don't worry, Honey. I took care of it. I managed to secure an invitation for us."

Rafael gasped, snatching the envelope from her hands. He stared at the golden crest, utterly amazed. "Sofia... this is incredible! How did you manage to get this? You must have some incredibly high-ranking connections to pull off a favor of this scale!" He looked at her with newfound adoration and intense respect, completely convinced that she was the ultimate asset to his life.

"Of course, Honey. I told you I am much more useful than Sabel," Sofia lied smoothly, her heart thumping against her ribs.

In reality, Sofia had forged the invitation. She had used her skills as a secretary and paid an underground counterfeiter a massive sum of money to replicate the exclusive De La Vega seal. She was desperate to solidify her place as the new queen of Rafael's life, and she was willing to commit high-society fraud to do it. Lingid sa kaalaman ni Rafael, they were walking into the lion's den with a completely fake ticket.

The evening of the grand gala arrived.

The De La Vega Grand Ballroom was a magnificent sight of extreme luxury. Giant crystal chandeliers hung from the vaulted ceilings, casting a brilliant light over the hundreds of elite guests dressed in bespoke tuxedos and diamond-encrusted gowns. The air was filled with the soft melody of a live string orchestra and the scent of expensive champagne.

Rafael and Sofia walked into the vast party hall banquet, completely overwhelmed by the opulence. Rafael tightened his grip on Sofia's arm, his eyes wide as he took in the sheer wealth surrounding him. He felt small, yet incredibly ambitious. If I can just catch the eye of this heiress, Rafael thought, a greedy smile forming on his lips, I can rise to the top. I can become the king of this vast empire.

They moved closer to the grand stage, where massive, shimmering gold letters were mounted against a velvet backdrop.

The sign read: DE LA VEGA EMPIRE

Rafael frowned slightly, a sudden, bizarre memory flashing into his mind. De La Vega... "Sabel's maiden name was De La Vega," he muttered aloud, his brow furrowing in temporary confusion.

Sofia let out a sharp, mocking laugh, dismissing his thoughts immediately. "Oh, please, Rafael. Don't tell me you're thinking of that worthless housewife right now? It's just a common surname. It is completely impossible for a penniless, useless orphan like Sabel to have even a single drop of connection to the wealthiest clan in the world. She’s probably crying in some cheap apartment right now."

Rafael shook his head, clearing his mind. "You're right. It's an absurd thought."

Suddenly, the grand trumpets sounded, and the chatter in the ballroom silenced instantly. The massive double doors at the front of the hall swung open, and the entire crowd stood up, applauding enthusiastically.

Stepping into the hall with absolute majesty was none other than Don Sebastian De La Vega. He walked toward the microphone on the stage, his voice booming with immense authority.

"Welcome, my esteemed guests, to the celebration of the century," Don Sebastian announced, his eyes sweeping across the elite crowd. "For the past three years, my family has kept a low profile. My daughter, the sole heiress of the De La Vega Empire, was residing elsewhere to learn the realities of the world. But tonight, she has returned to take her rightful throne and assume full command of our global operations!"

The crowd erupted into thundering applause. Rafael and Sofia clapped eagerly, straining their necks to get a glimpse of the multi-billionaire heiress, hoping to position themselves for a conversation.

Then, the gigantic golden doors at the top of the grand staircase opened.

A wide, royal crimson carpet stretched down the stairs, and as the lights focused on the entrance, everyone turned their heads, holding their breath.

Walking out into the spotlight was Isabella De La Vega.

She looked breathtakingly beautiful, an absolute vision of high-society royalty. She wore a bespoke, midnight-blue ballgown encrusted with thousands of real diamonds that shimmered like a galaxy with every step she took. Her hair was styled in an elegant, sophisticated updo, and her neck was adorned with a priceless sapphire necklace. Her posture was flawless, her gaze cold, powerful, and utterly regal.

And standing right beside her, holding her hand as her personal escort, was Adrian Sebastian. He looked lethally handsome in a tailored black tuxedo, his dark eyes exuding a terrifying aura of multi-billionaire authority and fierce protectiveness over the woman beside him.

The guests gasped in awe at the sheer power and beauty of the couple.

Down in the crowd, Rafael’s hands froze mid-clap. His mouth dropped wide open, his face turning entirely pale as the blood drained from his system. He rubbed his eyes, staring at the goddess on the stairs. "S... Sabel?!" he choked out, his voice trembling in absolute horror.

Beside him, Sofia’s eyes widened to the size of saucers. Her forged invitation slipped from her limp fingers, fluttering unnoticed to the floor. Her body shook in sheer, disbelieving terror as she stared at the woman she had spent three years mocking as a useless housewife.

The invisible housewife was gone. Lady Isabella De La Vega had officially claimed her throne, and their destruction had just begun.

The morning sunlight streamed through the sheer curtains of Rafael Villarigo's house, but the warmth it brought was temporary and entirely artificial. I walked softly down the carpeted hallway toward my husband's office, hoping this night would be a happy celebration for us.Today marked our third wedding anniversary. For three long years, I threw myself into being a simple housewife, making him my one and only world. But as I reached the door, I noticed it was slightly ajar. A familiar voice echoed from within, freezing me in my tracks."Oh, Rafael... slow down. Someone might see us here," Sofia Astor’s flirtatious laughter shattered the silence of the night."Wh
