CHAPTER THIRTY - HIS PAINS

Sunlight streams in through my unclosed window and falls on my face, disturbing my peaceful sleep.

"Hmm," I grumble, turning to the side to stop the light from falling from my face. I had expected to feel the cool and comforting surface of my pillow but what my face touches is warm and firm.

Furrowing my brows, I bury my face in the warm surface and the grip on my waist tightens. Wait a minute! The grip on my waist?

My eyes fly open as I realize that I am not the only one on my bed anymore and a scream escapes from my throat.

Instinctively, my hands move forward to push the person away from me. The sunlight is too bright for my morning eyes to see the person clearly.

The stranger lands on the floor with a heavy thud, making me guess that the person is quite large and then they start cursing and cursing.

"What the hell, Jay?" they say.
