He could not catch the wolf. How did they get into his land? First the hairpin and now a wolf? Was Lionel playing a game with him or what?

He trudged off, going through the inner passage to his room, his feet scraped the floor, echoing in the dim lighted place. Hot rage ran through his veins.

He had dismissed the men since they could not find any proper solution to what he said and he hated men who dragged others down. He would have to stay up all night, thinking of solutions by himself. The maids had already brought his night’s broth. The broth helped him in relaxing, even though he knew that it could barely help him to fall asleep. He has been sleep depraved since that incident.

He changed his dress and took a night bath before returning and eating the broth. “Anyone there?” He called and Cassandra came in running.

“Your Highness.”

“Take this plate.” He ordered and she carried it. After a last bow, she walked away and he made his way to the study room where he pondered throughout the
