CHAPTER FOURTEEN 'Revenge... useless'

“What do you feel?”

Violet was sitting outside with Poison standing behind her under the sunrise.

“I think the sun is a bit too warm for comfort.”

“I didn't ask about your thoughts, I asked about what you feel.”

“I feel a vibration inside of me. It's soft and low but it's not non-existent.”

“Good. Now, just sit there and let your mind wander. Wherever it goes, don't stop it and don't repress your emotions no matter how it comes out.”

“Call me if you need comfort or anything else.” Poison said and Violet felt a lack of his warmth around her. She sighed, keeping her feet planted on the ground and enjoyed the feeling of being.

Her thoughts whispered and her mind roared and she just sat there, listening.. watching..

She watched how it all started. How a weak last breath with a science experiment brought her into existence. Knowing she wouldn't be embraced by the gods with original bloodline and strong legacy, she attempted to create one.

She entered void, a sucking vacuum to train so she could ascend to a higher power.

When she did, she began to do good deeds for humans.

Nothing else would get the gods approval. But she was ignored and she didn't mind, living in seclusion in her icy castle she created out of cold, blood and tears.

Loneliness through many dark nights..

And she heard a prayer.

Not for material desire but for her.

It moved her and she went to the mountain to see who it was with her two eyes.

Tears rolled down Violet cheeks and she felt a sudden warmth envelope her as she remembered how stupid she was. If only she'd never gone to see him..

She shuddered as she remembered taking over a mortal's body to be with him. Everything was good.

The romance..

The love- making under the moonlight

The kisses

The pleasure..

The release.

Untill she told him her secret. She'd fallen in love with him ever since his first prayer to her.

He'd kissed her that night.

He'd caressed her body with his warmth, hugging her as their bodies rocked against each other in holy madness.

She'd cried loudly, saying his prayers as he dove into her oceans with warm mouth, drinking from her cup. He couldn't possibly have it all so he'd struck his rod in to feel the warm liquids pour over his feet.

After he had his full, he came out of her with a pop and weak rod.

Then he showed his true colours, taking out a bell to capture her energy. Then he kept her weak soul in a box to rot.

That same night, he'd brought in another play thing to ignite the new found energy inside of him. By forcing them into the hot playground, he crafted the energy and made it his. Sucking all the playthings energy to make it his own.

Violet was shaking now. Angry tears rolling down her cheeks. Her skin broke with cold sweat and she let out a loud piercing scream and something in her chest clicked. Ice exploded out of her chest and covered the entire garden with ice.

She opened her eyes and squinted at how bright the sun was. She felt light-headed so she laid on the ground and closed her eyes.

She felt a hand lift her from the ground but she did not bother to look. She already knew who it was.

“How are you?” He whispered, his voice cracking at the end.

She did not speak and he did not indulge her.

Poison gently put Violet to sleep on her bed and sat there for a while, watching her chest rise and fall with pressure nor restriction.

He hoped she'd get the best rest. She deserved it.

So he just sat there so she wouldn't feel alone.

The next day, Violet woke up to the sun's reflection in her face. Poison was in her room, staring at her annoyed face sheepishly.

“It's been twenty two hours, lazy! How could you sleep for that long?”

“I'm hungry.”

Poison smiled, “I was hoping you'd be. I made potatoes and gravy. I know you're not used to plant based meals so I added—”

“—Not for food.”

Poison eyes widened. “Don't tell me..”

“Revenge. Baddley descendants are still alive. I'll kill them especially that bastard that killed me!”

Poison turned to the door, “If you insist then you can leave but you'll never be able to step feet in my mansion ever again.”

Violet quickly came back to her senses.

Many years had passed. Revenge was useless. The most important thing was to pick her life back up.

“I..” Violet stared down at her fingers, “T-that was a slip of tongue, I'm definitely not going to do that!”

“Better. Come with me downstairs for breakfast.”

“I'd rather have a bath first. I feel musty in these clothes.”

“There's fresh clothes in the closet.”

Violet looked at Poison, then rushed to the closet. He was right.

Without hesitation, she placed the dresses around her and smiled when she saw that it was a fit. Thankfully, the dresses had pants underneath, it made her really happy. Maybe Poison was a reasonable person after all. But then..

“How'd you get my measurements right?” Violet turned to the door only to see that he had already left.
