“What do you feel?”
Violet was sitting outside with Poison standing behind her under the sunrise.
“I think the sun is a bit too warm for comfort.”
“I didn't ask about your thoughts, I asked about what you feel.”
“I feel a vibration inside of me. It's soft and low but it's not non-existent.”
“Good. Now, just sit there and let your mind wander. Wherever it goes, don't stop it and don't repress your emotions no matter how it comes out.”
“Call me if you need comfort or anything else.” Poison said and Violet felt a lack of his warmth around her. She sighed, keeping her feet planted on the ground and enjoyed the feeling of being.
Her thoughts whispered and her mind roared and she just sat there, listening.. watching..
She watched how it all started. How a weak last breath with a science experiment brought her into existence. Knowing she wouldn't be embraced by the gods with original bloodline and strong legacy, she attempted to create one.
She entered void, a sucking vacuum to train so she could ascend to a higher power.
When she did, she began to do good deeds for humans.
Nothing else would get the gods approval. But she was ignored and she didn't mind, living in seclusion in her icy castle she created out of cold, blood and tears.
Loneliness through many dark nights..
And she heard a prayer.
Not for material desire but for her.
It moved her and she went to the mountain to see who it was with her two eyes.
Tears rolled down Violet cheeks and she felt a sudden warmth envelope her as she remembered how stupid she was. If only she'd never gone to see him..
She shuddered as she remembered taking over a mortal's body to be with him. Everything was good.
The romance..
The love- making under the moonlight
The kisses
The pleasure..
The release.
Untill she told him her secret. She'd fallen in love with him ever since his first prayer to her.
He'd kissed her that night.
He'd caressed her body with his warmth, hugging her as their bodies rocked against each other in holy madness.
She'd cried loudly, saying his prayers as he dove into her oceans with warm mouth, drinking from her cup. He couldn't possibly have it all so he'd struck his rod in to feel the warm liquids pour over his feet.
After he had his full, he came out of her with a pop and weak rod.
Then he showed his true colours, taking out a bell to capture her energy. Then he kept her weak soul in a box to rot.
That same night, he'd brought in another play thing to ignite the new found energy inside of him. By forcing them into the hot playground, he crafted the energy and made it his. Sucking all the playthings energy to make it his own.
Violet was shaking now. Angry tears rolling down her cheeks. Her skin broke with cold sweat and she let out a loud piercing scream and something in her chest clicked. Ice exploded out of her chest and covered the entire garden with ice.
She opened her eyes and squinted at how bright the sun was. She felt light-headed so she laid on the ground and closed her eyes.
She felt a hand lift her from the ground but she did not bother to look. She already knew who it was.
“How are you?” He whispered, his voice cracking at the end.
She did not speak and he did not indulge her.
Poison gently put Violet to sleep on her bed and sat there for a while, watching her chest rise and fall with pressure nor restriction.
He hoped she'd get the best rest. She deserved it.
So he just sat there so she wouldn't feel alone.

The next day, Violet woke up to the sun's reflection in her face. Poison was in her room, staring at her annoyed face sheepishly.
“It's been twenty two hours, lazy! How could you sleep for that long?”
“I'm hungry.”
Poison smiled, “I was hoping you'd be. I made potatoes and gravy. I know you're not used to plant based meals so I added—”
“—Not for food.”
Poison eyes widened. “Don't tell me..”
“Revenge. Baddley descendants are still alive. I'll kill them especially that bastard that killed me!”
Poison turned to the door, “If you insist then you can leave but you'll never be able to step feet in my mansion ever again.”
Violet quickly came back to her senses.
Many years had passed. Revenge was useless. The most important thing was to pick her life back up.
“I..” Violet stared down at her fingers, “T-that was a slip of tongue, I'm definitely not going to do that!”
“Better. Come with me downstairs for breakfast.”
“I'd rather have a bath first. I feel musty in these clothes.”
“There's fresh clothes in the closet.”
Violet looked at Poison, then rushed to the closet. He was right.
Without hesitation, she placed the dresses around her and smiled when she saw that it was a fit. Thankfully, the dresses had pants underneath, it made her really happy. Maybe Poison was a reasonable person after all. But then..
“How'd you get my measurements right?” Violet turned to the door only to see that he had already left.
“So, what do I do today?”“Come with me.” The duo walked outside of the mansion and through the trees and path of fresh flowers. They stopped in front of a pond. Across of the pond was a closed cave.“Your task is to walk on the water without falling in.”Violet shrugged, “Easy peasy.”She enveloped her body with energy and took a step into the pond. Immediately, she felt a wave of energy flung her away. She balanced herself and looked at Poison questionably.Poison smiled, “You didn't let me finish. The pond has my aura around it and every step you take towards it might be extremely painful, you might even lose your life.”Violet sighed, “Why are you just telling me that now, punk?”“Punk? I'm your teacher now, how can you take me so lightly?”Violet rolled her eyes at him, “I'll show you what I'm made of!”“Be careful.”Violet exhaled and took a step on the pond, her energy protecting her from stepping on the water. Just then, the wave of energy from earlier tried to toss her aside
Violet had no plan in mind. She'd just go wherever the wind tossed her to. She would but now, she had no idea where she even was. She looked around her surroundings, they were all filled with flowers and trees. Was she in the middle of nowhere? She looked back at the mansion in the distance. It'd be embarrassing if she went back there after saying such an heartfelt speech. She sighed. She'd give her powers one last shot. She exhaled and clapped her hands. However what happened next was not what she was expecting. The bag was holding in her hands vanished as well as the dress she was putting on, leaving her in her undergarments. She immediately went to hide behind a tree half-naked and embarrassed. She bit her thumb in regret. If she knew that would happen, she should've just gone back and ask where she was instead of taking a stupid risk. Now, her clothes were gone. She ran her fingers through her hair in frustration. “What to do? What to do?”She inhaled, filling the tip of her inde
“This is my right hand man, Cryston.”Violet glared at the guard that tried to manhandle her when she crossed the borders and he glared back, slightly bowing his head. “Cryston will help you rescue your mother and get you a carriage that'll get you and your mother out of Keitan and to Thestryn where your aunt will be patiently waiting.”Violet nodded, ignoring the tingling feeling in her gut. ”Thank you.” She whispered.Poison nodded, gesturing her to follow Cryston out of the huge forest. She crossed her fingers on her back as she walked next to Cryston, trying to mask all signs of nervousness. “At the back of Mistress Azarael's mansion, there's a dungeon which is where Lilly Agatha Sinora is held captive.” Violet nodded, her body tensing up with every move she made. “Are you good?”She nodded, barely hearing Cryston's question. They arrived in front of Azarael's mansion and Cryston stepped out, whispering something along the lines “.. as planned.”The guards let them in easily an
On the high table in the valley's court, the seven keepers of the valley sat, arguing and agreeing with separate notions.Lily was so pissed, that she slammed her fist on the table, staring at each and every one of the sisters with piercing blue eyes.“So what you all say is Violet should be freed even though she might have a hand in the queen's DEMISE?!”Alex flinched, staring at the rage in Lilly's blue eyes. “She's your daughter, lilly. Even today's her birthday and she's spending it in the cell!”“Lilly, what makes you hate Violet so much? Today's her sixteenth birthday, there's no way she had anything to do with the late queen death. You know damn well she's closer to Thea than her own daughter!” Bashiru said.“Exactly. Or do you think Violet is a heartless freak because of her unique hair and eyes colour.”Lilly eyes twitched and she sat back on her chair, muttering in a tone tone, “That has nothing to do with this case.”Gabriel scoffed, “I second Lilly's opinion. Her daughter
When Violet woke up, the pain had disappeared and she felt pretty warm inside. She wiped off the blood across her lips and saw that Poison wasn't unconscious across her.If she could survive a backfire by her own powers, how could Poison die from it?She sighed. It was still her fault the Queen died. She would take the punishment without complaint. With that, she dragged her feet through the snow, humming a melody as she passed. It was hours and there didn't seem to be an ending to the snow covered mountain. She was tired and thirsty. The snow didn't quench her thirst and now, her stomach was beginning to growl from hunger, it pissed her off.But she didn't want to complain. She'd vowed to take the punishment. She kept going until she couldn't.There was no night in the mountain and it scared her. She began to doubt her intellect. It was no doubt that the night time existed as much as the dark time.Soon she found herself craving for the night time but it never came. She was losing
Violet felt needles enter and come out of her numb body. Pitch black was her sight even though she felt she was wide awake. She felt the needle enter her head and this time, it made her breath hitch and her eyes opened. She squinted her eyes quickly to filter out the light but it did nothing so she shut her eyes. Lady Demi looked at her with a sigh. “That was fast. I wasn't expecting you to wake up so quickly.”Violet held the woman above her by her neck and held her right hand, tight so she wouldn't be pricked with a needle. All this while, with her eyes closed. Lady Demi gasped for air. “H—how'd you get so strong? You could barely breathe before.”Violet felt something prick her neck and her hold on the woman loosened and she fell into a deep sleep.Lady Demi let out a sigh of relief and turned to face Lilly Agatha Senora.“Thank you, your grace.”Lilly entered the room fully and took a look at the patient on the bed.“How is she?”“Honest?”“Yes.” Lilly said.“She has no heart
Violet ate lunch together with the healer on the dinning table in silence.Something she hadn't done with anyone in some time. It kind of felt.. Weird. And the voices in her head reminded her of that, constantly mocking her to bring her down. But she only listened, neither responding nor reacting. She only ate with Lady Demi in silence. Days passed and Violet's routine was simple.Eating, taking tonics, receiving advice aka Therapy from the healer, learning about herself and why she was the way she was.Her life would have continued like that until one morning, Violet was summoned by the queen into the palace. Violet did not know what to expect from this new queen.. Even though they were acquainted in the past, Dinah did not leave a huge impression on her.She worried that the queen would hold her responsible for the late queen's death but at the same time, she did not fear death. After all, she'd already died and resuscitated back to life by chance. After the hell, she'd went thro
As Violet looked around the big manor that the old queen had once promised her, she sighed.Thea and Dinah indeed had similar taste for Dinah to give her this manor. It was very big and it contained all of the basic amenities like food, well tailored clothing, herbs, water, snacks, cosmetics etc.All of these done in just a few hours. Violet immediately felt pressure. She couldn't just free load after Dinah had done all of these things so she made up her mind. She went back to the palace and immediately went to the point. “I need every information on Lagsu. As much as I can gather.” She was provided information immediately. And as she sat on her office in the manor, taking in information about Lagsu,” She remembered some of her pasts. She remembered that she had met the Saintess of Lagsu before and her name was Musa.It was not that Violet was absolutely clueless it was just that the recent trauma she went through clouded her mind and placed her past experiences in the back burner
