Chapter 1- Evelyn's Dream

"You're so beautiful, Evelyn," my mate whispered against my neck softly, ready to mark me. My hold tightened on him. I held him like a precious possession.

I always dreamt about my soulmate. It seemed like all of those dreams were going to be true. "I love you, Evelyn," my mate said lovingly; his eyes held so many emotions and selfless love for me. Seeing those overwhelming emotions made me breathless.

My eyes filled with tears. "I love you too," I said with the same passion and love I had for him for many years. I cupped his cheeks and kissed him on his lips. "You are my whole world, mate!" The passion rooted deep inside me, just as our lips were about to meet for another kiss.

Someone shouted, "Evelyn, wake up dear, it is already late!" My eyes snapped open. My eyes roamed over my room, Damn, again, that was a dream. The same dream I had been seeing since I turned sixteen.

My mother was removing all the curtains from the window, sunlight came through the opened windows. Yeah, it was already late.

"Princess, you were smiling in your sleep, tell me what you were seeing?" My mother eyed me mischievously. "Was it your mate again?" Oh Moon Goddess, help me! My longing for my mate made me a dreamer.

I sighed. "Mom, it was nothing like that." My mother didn't say anything further, but I could see a naughty smile on my mother's face.

"Why don't you say you were having a wet dream? About our mate," my sneaky wolf Eva spoke. Oh Goddess, not you Eva, please. She laughed. I cleared my throat.

"Mom, has anything happened? You rarely wake me up." She looked more excited today.

"Yes dear, did you forget? Today, the Light Moon pack is hosting a grand party. Everyone is invited, and there will be so many Alphas. Who knows, you might find your mate there."

I sighed. To be honest, I wasn't interested in parties anymore. Over the past few years, I attended so many events, parties, and mating ceremonies, yet I didn't find my mate. It seemed like my mate didn't live here. Where are you, mate?

"Princess, what happened? You look sad. I am sure this time you will find your mate. My daughter is the most precious and beautiful person in the world, any Alpha would be lucky to get you as Luna," mother told me with so much pride and hope. She always called me princess.

"Mom, why do you think my mate is an Alpha? He can be a Beta, Gamma, or warrior." My mom smiled.

"Of course I think your mate is an Alpha. You remind me of my mother. You know my mother was one of the most powerful witches in the world? My father was an Alpha, and I inherited my power from my father. But did you know," she continued, "people say you inherited your witch power from your grandmother, and of course werewolf power from your father, too. That is why you're very powerful and special. You deserve the most powerful person in the world. I'm sure only an Alpha can match your power. He is the person you deserve, just like your father deserves me."

I smiled and she giggled softly. I heard so many times that I looked like my grandmother and inherited witch powers from her, but the witch part of me had not awakened yet, obvious reasons for that.

"Ok fine, Mom, I understand. We will go there."

"Yes, that's the spirit, my dear daughter. I have to go, so many preparations are left, also I need to arrange gifts." After saying that, she walked out of the room hurriedly.

"Careful Mom!" I shouted. I laughed. She is a really cheerful person and I was exactly like her. My father was a serious person. Sometimes I wonder how they keep going with these opposite personalities. Maybe that was how the mate bond worked.

Geez! I forgot my father wanted to talk to me about something important last night. He was about to say it, but mother came at that time, then he stopped talking to me and told me we would talk later. It means something important and serious happened and he didn't want mother to hear it.

After finishing my morning routine, I sat in front of the mirror, seeing my reflection with a big smile on my face. As I saw my reflection, I didn't know why, but today, I felt like I was about to meet my mate.

"You always say that," Ava said grumpily. She also hates that everyone has met their mate but we didn't, even though I'm twenty-two now. It has been four years since I passed the age when we meet our mate. But I am mateless. Most of the wolves recognize their mates soon after they turn eighteen, in very rare cases, we find our soulmate late. I think I'm one of them. Still, it's worth the wait.

Some wolves take chosen mates, but I could never do it. The mate bond is special. I would wait for my mate till my last breath. I'm a positive person, Eva. So what if we didn't meet our soulmate? I hoped our mate would wait for us and choose us as a mate, like we are doing.

Many people in neighboring packs wanted me as a chosen mate because it had been long enough that my mate didn't appear, so they wanted me to take a chosen mate. And since I'm the only heir of my pack, it is a privilege whoever would be my mate. He would choose to be the Alpha of my pack as I'm the future Luna, but I will never take a chosen mate, only my soulmate will take a place in my life and heart.

My father and mother are with me. They shut everyone's mouths. They also wanted me to feel the mate bond, which could help me to unleash my full power and potential. My werewolf powers had already been unleashed, but my witch power, which I inherited from my grandmother, still didn't release.

Mother told me when I mated and marked with my mate, my power would come out with full force and make me as powerful as my grandmother. That was what happened with my grandmother.

My fate was the same as hers. I suddenly felt shy, so I had to have sex with my mate.Oh God, I had never done this before.

Eva laughed. "Why are you feeling shy? It is your favorite dream." Oh shut up, Eva. Let's go, we need to see Dad.
