Chapter 18 | Catatonic

Jolly Road once lived up to its name… embodied its name perfectly. It was once a jolly place way back in 1982, a town away from the city noise. But when shadow vampires and, mostly, scavengers inhabited the place up until now with their will to kill and drink blood.

The place has been the hometown of many criminals granted parole by the probation authorities. But probation officers don’t even bother to check on these criminals from time to time. In due course, these criminals are free from their prison life already.

Jolly Road even has shops that secretly sell narcotics and anything illegal for satisfaction. During the day, the streets of Jolly Road are asleep like a drunk man getting out of a hangover to enjoy the night later. That means that Jolly Road is alive only at night. Disco bars are open, nightclubs nearby, and motel rooms are fully booked.
