Chapter 28 | Dish

Two shadow vampires in their black cloaks walked towards his table, their heads lowered and masked with their own shadows. The silence was always deadly but never tickled their fear since they are used to hiding in the shadows and moving discreetly.

“Skoteinó,” the first shadow vampire spoke, “There are no signs of Minly in all the places that she commonly visits and stays.

Then the second vampire shadow added, “She was left at her apartment yesterday but as we tried to trace her scent, we couldn’t smell it.”

Skoteinó tilted his head and gave them a dead look. “But you placed a tracker on her before you released her, right?” Skoteinó asked.

Neither of the shadow vampires answered Skoteinó’s question and kept their heads down.

Skoteinó hang his head down and groaned. He whispered, “You know that device that at least helps you track someone instead of sniffing like dogs?”
