Chapter 85- Longing

"Where's Kaitlin?"

Milla don't want to ask that but it's necessary. She hadn't seen the woman since her family arrived there. She wants to know everything about the house they will live in temporarily.

"She's in her room. She's not feeling well," Renz answered.

"Is she sick?"

"No, she just feels bad."

Milla immediately suspected something bad happened. If the woman isn't sick, if she wasn't wounded in a fight or bitten by a wolf and didn't come down to meet them, there must be something wrong.

"Doesn't she want us here?" Milla asked.

"Oh, no. She doesn't care about that. We are just having a few personal problems. You don't have to worry about her."

Milla did not comment further. She no longer cares if their problems are personal. She continued to walk. Renz followed her. She waits for what he has to say as if it won't come and she drowns in the tension between them.
