Chapter 83- A Decision to Make

"You didn't have to come here, Renz!"

Milla was irritated again when she saw Renz at the door. She was ready for a bloody fight when she felt the presence of their kind outside the cabin. Laura would never linger outside the house so she thought it was an enemy. Renz was the only one there.

"You might be late."

"You've been walking around outside for a while."

"I was checking security."

Milla can't accept that Renz will join her on a mission but she can't do anything. She also couldn't give up her job. She will not be content in a quiet place if she knows that she is not doing anything to end the ongoing war. Maybe one day, she will wake up without her daughter. She can't forgive herself when it happens.
