Maria's POV The nightmare was never-ending, my eyes had not closed for a wink throughout the night. Even though I had not been able to move, my mind was everywhere. Maria's POV It has been two long days, two days of pure agony and heart-wrenching sadness. I could feel a part of me dying slowly like a grass that somehow can't seem to get a touch of the rain. It was heavy, a burden that I had never known its weight before it was cruelly dropped on my shoulders. For one moment in my life, I felt nothing. Just raw sadness and depression. Elvira moved in with me to help me cope as I refused to go to the palace or move in with Elvira. I had initially kicked against having her around but they would not hear of it and insisted that I had to take an option. Nathan has kept his distance and even the mere sight of him annoyed me. Elijah had made sure that he stayed away and Elvira did a good job in telling him that I was indisposed all of the eleven times that he had come to see me in the last two days.
