Cassie and Sarah had arrived at the park earlier. Sarah immediately started drooling as soon as she saw the candy stores. Sarah has a sweet tooth so she's a sucker for sweets. She dragged Cassie to the candy store and stood there trying all the different flavor of candy trying to decide which one she would by. Cassie just stood there watching Sarah melt over the candies laughing. Sarah was always so hilarious when it came to sweets and right now she was stuffing her mouth with them making her look really funny. With a big smile plastered on her face, she realized that for the first time in a while she actually felt genuinely happy. Looking around the park, she locked eyes with someone else and for that moment as they stared deeply into each other's eyes, Cassie was mesmerized. Only one word came to her mind at that moment; "handsome". Yes the stranger in front of her, staring at her right now was so freaking handsome. His well sculpted face and those deep brown eyes. She felt she could drown in those eyes.
Suddenly realizing what she was thinking, Cassie felt like slapping herself in the face. Since when has she ever been interested in the looks of the opposite gender. Although she wasn't going to lie though the one standing in front of her was pretty hot. She was never a sucker for the opposite gender and she wouldn't become one now. Raising her eyes she realized he was still staring at her. Somewhat irritated she immediately rolled her eyes at him and turned away.
Leo was taken aback when he saw her reaction. He was quite surprised no woman had ever been able to resist his gaze but this one has rolled her eyes at him and even seemed somewhat irritated at him. He was intrigued. He wanted to know more about her but then he looked at the time and realized it was almost time for his appointment. So he took one look at the woman who was now laughing and hoped in his heart he would see her again.
By the time, Cassie turned back to check on Sarah she looked like a walking comedy, she immediately started laughing hard. At that moment, she felt that intense stare again. She turned to where she thought it was coming from ready to give that handsome stranger a piece of her mind but couldn't find him there. She didn't know why but for some reason that made her sad. "Snap out of it!", she immediately scolded herself. She continued the rest of her day with Sarah and she had a great time.
7:30pm
Cassie laid stretched out on her bed. The events of the day running through her mind. She would not lie to herself, she had really enjoyed her day. There was just that one moment she just couldn't seem to get out of her head. That handsome stranger. Whenever she remembered the way he looked at her, the way he stared into her eyes. She couldn't help but feel something inside of her. Now Cassie was low key a feminist and she never liked it when men looked at her. Because mostly she felt they were always looking at her with some kind of lust and it repulsed her. But there was something in the way this stranger looked at her and she just couldn't find it in her to be repulsed by it. He looked at her with so much intrigue that she was curious. "Whatever", she immediately thought. Just then she heard her phone ring. It was a message from Sarah asking her to wear something hot for they were going clubbing tonight. "Ah" she sighed. Sarah was never really on the wild side even as a teenager but as she grew up she grew more and more wild. "But why not", she thought.
Cassie couldn't remember the last time she'd been to a club so standing there in her fish nets, a black mini skirt, black crop top and a matching black leather jacket and a pair of black knee high boots to go with she felt really awkward. Not until Sarah pulled her over to the bar and ordered the bartender to serve them their strongest drinks. Cassie wasn't too sure about that she didn't have a really good alcohol tolerance and although Sarah's was fairly ok she wasn't too sure. She wanted to protest but then Sarah reminded her that the reason for this trip was so they could have a bit of fun and relax. Cassie decided to let it go and went ahead with Sarah. 30 minutes later Cassie was feeling a bit light headed and then she rushed on to the dance floor and started dancing wildly. Many guys were awed by her increasingly sensual dance moves. So many that even after she returned to her seat, many guys were still coming to make a pass at her. Deciding she needed some fresh air, Cassie stumbled her way to the back entrance leaving Sarah who was talking to some guy by the bar.
As Cassie stood at the back entrance trying to catch her breath, she heard some rustling noises and although she was a bit light headed she wasn't completely wasted so she became alert. Just then a man dashed out from the other end of the alleyway running. She just stood there. The man suddenly stopped running when he got to where she was and looked at her. "You?", Cassie asked. She immediately recognized him as the man from the park. He seemed equally shocked to see her there. "What are you doing here and why are you running?...... You are bleeding", she said immediately she noticed the cut on his arm. At that moment they heard more voices and footsteps coming from the side of the alley he had come out from. Seeing the men rushing towards them, Cassie was confused but at that moment the man suddenly grabbed her and the next thing she knew a pair of lips came crushing down on hers. She was dazed for a moment and that's when she realized it; The stranger was kissing her!!!!!
Hi guys this is my first book so any suggestions or feedbacks are much appreciatedđ
48 Hours before"Hey bro, what's up?", Edgar asked a very tired looking Leo."Hm", Leo acknowledged his presence without even looking at him."Woah. You look like quite stressed out", Edgar noted."You can't even begin to imagine. With dad away settling the investors overseas and also working on something secret I don't know about, I have to take care of everything here and many other major issues. It's taxing", Leo replied."Too bad dude. See this is why I would never want to be you.""Of course. You are better off just being irresponsible and childish", Leo fired"Hey! That hurt you know?", Edgar said pretending to look hurt."Whatever. What do you want this time? Why did you come?""Heol! Are you trying to say I can't come to see you without wanting something?", Edgar asked pitifully"Yes", Leo replied blankly. "What did you do?", he asked"Nothing! Ah you really don't have much fate in me. Well for your
Knock knock. "Enter" "Miss Turner, the interview will begin shortly." "Alright. You may leave.", Cassie responded. She sighed before trying to call Sarah again. Beep Beep. The sound of the line being disconnected came through on her phone. "Once again there was no reply", she sighed again before putting down her phone. She couldn't really blame Sarah, she was a bit too harsh to her last time. Cassie sighed again before standing up from her chair. She put herself together and headed towards the room where the interview was going to take place. Today they were holding an interview for the post of Assistant to the Marketing Manager. The last one was fired due to his incompetence. And to prevent that from happening again she wanted to oversee this interview herself. She wouldn't be the one conducting the interview. She would just sit on the sidelines and watch the procedure noting down some important things or anyone who pa
"Who came to see you?", Leo asked with his brows raised."Miss Lee, Miss Turner's friend I believe", Edgar replied nonchalantly"Oh? And what did she want?", he asked relaxing on his chair."She wanted you.""What?!", Leo nearly choked on his saliva."Oh?", Edgar raised his eyes to him"I didn't mean it that way. She came asking about you.""Asking about me?""Yeah. She wanted to know your information."Leo thought about it for a while before he slowly asked in a low voice,"Well.... was she asking for herself or did she say someone sent her?"Edgar eyed his friend for a long time. Looks like Leo's feelings for Cassie ran deep. He clearly wanted to know if she was looking for him. Could this actually be a good thing?"She said she was there for a friend." Leo's eyes sparked"But I don't exactly think Miss Turner actually sent her, if that's what you wanted to know"Leo raised his eyes.
Minetti MansionLeo sat in front of his father. His father had been silent since he arrived and honestly it was beginning to get on his nerves. He was not in the mood for whatever mind games his father wanted to play with him, he thought as he sighed wearily. He glanced at his father again.Growing up, Leo couldn't exactly his father was the best father. Heck! His father wasn't even a normal father much less the best. At a very young age Leo was already being trained for when he would take over his father's position in the Mafia. At age 7, he was already being trained in martial arts. Age 10, and his father already thought he was old enough to use a gun. He remembered on his 12th birthday his father had gifted him a gun as a present. "Definitely not a normal father", Leo smirked. But then again his family wasn't a normal one anyway. But regardless of how weird Leo's father might have been, he had loved his mother. And that was one thing Leo respected about him. He had
"Nothing?", Cassie asked as she looked at Sarah. "Yes nothing. I couldn't find a record of any Leo around either Lucian Santino; which was quite understandable at first because it seemed they weren't too close but with Edgar Monroe? I was expecting to find something since they seemed really close but I couldn't find anything. It's almost as if such a person doesn't exist around them.", she replied. Cassie fell into deep thought. It's either Leo was no one significant which seemed very unlikely because they should at least be able to find something about him if he was ordinary or he wasn't an ordinary person at all. Then who was he? He was acquaintances with two very powerful people and now they couldn't find anything about him. "Anyways I think maybe I didn't dig deep enough. Maybe I should try...." "No don't", Cassie said "What? Why?", Sarah asked her dumbfounded. "No need. I shouldn't focus myself on finding some man anyway. It's not my way.
"He's here! Everyone to your stations!". These were the shouts that rang through the precinct as the police officers readied themselves for the arrival of one of the most important figure in their entire State Security Department. He walked in with a powerful aura. Calm yet powerfully he headed straight for the Chief's office ignoring all the people who had lined to greet him."Woah. Who is he?", one of the younger policemen asked an older one."Sealey", the older one replied."Detective James Sealey. One of the most brilliant detective in our entire State Department if not the entire country", he continued in awe."Woah", the younger one responded surprised."Then what is he doing here?", another young officer asked."I heard he was recently transferred to our District on Special assignment", the elder one replied."Really?", the officer responded as he looked towards the Chief's office where the man was currently shaking hand
