AUTHOR'S POV

Back to Present,

"Lily, you are an independent woman and I like you for that" he said and Lily checked the time to see she has forty more minutes before she is free to release him.

BACK IN THE STRONG ROOM,

Lily and Adam already found the storage for the confidential files. They inserted their drive and started copying the files, then immediately, the tech team leader was alerted and as expected, securities started coming towards the strong room but met Mr. Lee on the way.

"You'll have to go through me first" he said and they started fighting their way in and the Tech Team rushed to the Director's office but his secretary stopped him.

"The Director is not around" she said.

"You need to contact him right away" he said hurriedly.

"Whatever the emergency is will have to wait because he asked not to be disturbed" she replied casually

"The confidential files are being stolen" he said.

"What?" She picked the phone and started dialing the Director's number.

"Why didn't your team noticed when they perpetrated" she asked.

"The surveillance cameras were hacked but my elite team will be able to track the hacker's location soon" the tech team leader said.

"The Chairman is not picking his calls. Seal off the entrance" the secretary said

AT THE RESTAURANT, the Director's phone rang twice. When it started ringing the third time, he knew the matter as urgent.

"Lily, I'm sorry, I have to answer this" he said.

"I thought you said this is an unofficial meeting. If you are picking an official call, it means" she said and sipped her wine "you are changing the theme"

"But" he tried to defend

"Also, answering that phone" the phone rang again "you are definitely going to excuse yourself and leave me sitting. So what do you think it will speak of me. You know how the medias are nowadays, they will create something absurd to say" she said.

"I understand Lily" he looked at his phone "I'll... I will just put it on airplane mode" he said and he did just that.

"I already told her to cancel all my plans for today. She is just so incompetent" he said and Lily just smiled.

BACK IN PLATINUM

"He switched his phone off already. Oh God! This is bad" she exclaimed.

"I will go back to my team now. You just continue trying his number. Fuck!" He exclaimed as he hurried back to his team.

IN THE STRONG ROOM,

"Why on Earth is this thing slow? I'm bored waiting for the computer to load to a hundred. I want action" she said and made a devil face.

Mr. Lee got kicked by someone outside and his back hit the strong room's door.

"I'm gonna join Mr Lee" she said and started going towards the entrance.

Adam held her in an attempt to stop her but swiftly, she twisted his hand to the back and he shouted in pain, tapping the system in submission.

"Good" she released him and continue walking towards the door.

"Stick to the plan Jade, what is wrong with you?!" But she didn't answer.

She opened the door and saw Mr. Lee on the floor.

"Mr. Lee!" She quickly shut the door as she helped him up.

"Jade, you should stick to the plan" he said 

"Who cares about the stupid plan? Let's teach these bunch of bananas a lesson " she said as she threw a kick to an incoming security.

"Guys you have less than five minutes to get out of there. If I don't cut the hacking in five minutes, my location will be revealed. So Get the fuck out of there" Alex communicated with them through the hands-free in their ears.

"What is the escape plan Mr. Lee" Jade asked as she dodged a few punches and threw a punch to the officer in front of her. She swings her leg back and hit the one behind her in the groin, raising her leg high and kicked his back, making him fall, face flat.

"Just searched this place thoroughly and noticed a very small hole in the ceiling. Pretty sure we'll fit in and it might lead us to the roof" Adam said.

"You do realise we are on the fifteenth floor right and the roof is even higher?" Jade said as she hit an officer with her elbow and kick-appwd another officer's head to the wall.

"Don't tell me you are afraid of heights" Mr. Lee said 

"You kidding? I used to do a lot of Bungee jumping while I was a kid" she guarded herself with her two arm from an incoming kick but the force of the kick still pushed her back.

"Hahaha, that's funny cos you still are a kid" Mr Lee said.

"Guys you have a minute to evacuate that floor. Also, more agents are coming in and you won't be able to handle them when they arrive so leave before they get to you"

IN THE TECH ROOM,

"Track this fucking hacker, you low-lives!" The tech team leader was getting impatient.

"Sir, they copied everything on the confidential file already" someone said.

"Fuxk! Hurry up! They just not leave with it. Can't you be fast with tracking the hacker" he shouted.

"Sir, he is inside the company" another person shouted.

"Good, now get the exact location. You!" He pointed at someone

"Call the security team and tell them to disperse agents all over the company and question any stranger. No car must leave. No body with gadget must leave" he said.

"Guys, I'm disconnecting the camera hack now, you have thirty seconds." Jade and Mr. Lee quickly entered the strong room before the security back up team arrives. Adam tries to push something heavy behind the door and Mr. Lee helped Adam push the heavy object.

"Were you able to copy all the files?" Mr. Lee asked.

"Safe and sound" Adam replied. 

They all entered the whole in the ceiling and started crawling till they got to the roof then immediately, Mr Lee flew from the roof and pressed a button on his belt. 

A rope with hook came out and hooked the roof till he got down.

"What the ...Does he think he's Batman or something?" Jade said.

"That's for professionals. You by the way, have to hook the roof before jumping. I'll help you with it" he tried to touch her belt but Jade tapped his hands away.

"What am I? 10?" Jade asked.

"Well, you are just a few years from it" he concentrated on connecting his own and was done in less than ten seconds.

"You know, I can actually do the pro style but had to go through this novice method cos of you" 

"Well, I didn't force you  to" Jade still struggling to connect hers

Adam looked at her and sighed, shaking his head then he moved closer to her helping her unhook the button in her belt cos she jammed it already. Their faces will just be inches apart if he looks up from what he was doing 

"You know, my second mission, is to bring you back safely" he looks up at her, their lips almost touching.

They stayed that way for about five seconds then suddenly, Adam breaks the silence

"Don't puke" he said.

Before Jade could register what he meant, he pushed her down.

Then the securities opened the door leading to the roof 

"Freeze" they pointed guns at him.
