In The BENIN-GinG

"I will go straight to the point. I guess you know me already. So, you have just two options" the woman in black with a face showing zero emotion, not angry, not sad, not happy said in a Limousine. She is alone with a young beautiful but shit-scared lady.

"You take that money..." pointed to a briefcase beside the young lady "... abort that baby" pointed to my tummy  "...leave the country silently" pointed outside  to indicate leave "...and claim no connection with my son because as of this moment, you never met him, you never saw him and he never exist to you OR you do what you want, force things with my son, keep the pregnancy and risk your life and that of your unborn monster of a baby"

The face of the young lady can't be seen but her silent sob was not so silent.

THREE YEARS AGO,

In a big mansion which belongs to the Andersons. The Andersons were if not the richest family in L.A, they will be Among the top three richest family in Los Angeles.

The only surviving son of the family Thomas Anderson is preparing to go to college.

The Andersons used to be a family of four with lots of maids and security agents but now it's just Mrs. Anderson and young Thomas Anderson.

The family used to have an older son, Harry Anderson but five years ago, Mr. Anderson and Harry died in a plane crash on their way back from a business trip in China. It was very disastrous for the family back then but Mrs. Anderson was quick to recover from her loss.

To her, it is always business, reputation and money. Nothing else matters to her. She rarely smile and never laugh, except sarcastic laughs though.

Rumour has it that she came from nothing. She has had nothing to lose for so long and now that she is at the top, there is absolutely nothing she can't do to get rid of any threat to what she wants.

Some people call her female Pharaoh and some people admire how independent she is and how calm she handles every situation.

Life has always been that way though. Life is always two ways.

"Okay Mom, I'm set. Brock packed everything to the car already". Seventeen years old Thomas said to Mrs.  Anderson who was going through some paper work on her desk.

She looked up at him and gestured him to come for a hug.

"Thomas, you know I was never in college so, I have no usual talk of other parent. All I have to say is, Always do what is right and most importantly..."

Thomas cut her short by completing her sentence since he already knows what she intends to say.

"... don't mix with peasants. They are all good diggers. They will always find a way to bring you down. That's why the word 'JEALOUSY' exists. No one likes someone who is more successful than they are, bla bla bla, I get it mom" he said with a sigh

"Good. Belle is coming though. I told her parent to allow you move to school together" she flipped through the pages of the documents in front of her. Ignoring the disapproving expression on Thomas' face.

"Also, remind Brock I said he should pick from the newly employed drivers. The best of course" she concentrated on whatever was written on the papers.

"Wait, What?! First of mom, why is Isabelle going to follow me? Why did you suggest that absurd opinion?" Thomas protested

"Young man, you will not talk to me in that manner" she frowned and banged the table while looking up at him.

"Mom!" He complained

"I have work to do and you have a school to resume. Get yourself busy" she said nonchalantly.

"Okay but I am not comfortable around Isabelle. She has this super glue attitude" Thomas complained

"Use the door, junior" Mrs. Anderson said, still not looking up from her paperwork.

Thomas stormed out of her room. Getting to the VIP sitting room, which they in the house call ROYAL SITTING ROOM, he saw Isabelle and her mom waiting.

Immediately Isabelle saw him she jumped up with excitement and forced a hug "Thomas!" She exclaimed happily.

Thomas stylishly pushed her off with a frown.

"I'm so excited, I can't believe we are actually going to college" she said, still not getting the hint that Thomas is not interested in starting a conversation with her.

Thomas quickly hugged Isabelle's mom to get away from Isabelle.

"Congratulations Thomas" Isabelle's mother said and Thomas forced a smile.

"I'm sorry my mom is busy. So I guess we will have to go without her" Thomas said trying to change the topic.

"Yes, she told my mom already and apologized" Isabelle jumped into the conversation.

Thomas laughed silently at the lie. He knows his mother will never apologize and Isabelle was just trying to bluff.

"My mom will never apologize. You know that right?" Thomas said.

The room went silent as Thomas revealed Isabelle was lying.

Isabelle's mother was about to say something to cover up for her daughter and end the awkward situation when Brock came in.

Brock is Mrs. Anderson's most trusted agent.

"Mr. Anderson, everything is set. We move when you are ready"

ON ANOTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD (PARIS, FRANCE)

Mademoiselle Noah's Motel,

"Hey Pretty" a hefty looking man sat at the counter

"Rodriguez, how's work today" a young lady of about age seventeen greeted.

"Yeah, work was stressful as usual. If it ain't stressful, it ain't work" Rodriguez said and laughed.

"Yeah, true. So, the usual?" The girl asked.

"Yes Lily. I'mma need extra shots today. I'm still going for a night shift in the other company. What choice does a man have?" He said as the young girl, Lily poured him tequila.

"You're correct" she replied him.

LILY'S POV

I am the young girl working as salesgirl in the motel. Oh, Pardon my arrogance. J'appelle Lilly Maxwell. Born and brought up in Paris. Brought up by myself though. I lost my father when I was five and my mother has been irresponsible since then and now, she is in REHAB.

They don't even allow me visit her. I've been struggling for years now. I have multiple part-time jobs. Thankfully, I don't pay house rent. My dad bought a house before his demise so that's where my mother and I used to stay before she got taken in.

No friends, No family, Only child.

Of course no one wants to associate with someone who has nothing to offer. Life is tough.

Recently, I gained admission into the UNIVERSITY OF LOS ANGELES. Oh, I can't afford it. I'm on scholarship.

Even with my part- time jobs, I've always managed to do well in my studies.

I have won many awards on merit and through competitions like spelling bee, Quiz, debates, essay writing, public speaking, article writing, story or novel writing, best blogger, poet of the year and so on. I literally don't even have anymore space in my room to keep some so I just keep old ones in the drawer.

Packing my stuffs, I ordered Uber already and it'll soon arrive. When I say stuffs, not more than a bag and one other tiny bag.

Then the Uber driver horned outside to notify me of his arrival. I carry my stuffs into the UBER which drove me straight to the airport.

I stretched my neck out the window of the Uber through out the way to the airport. Feeling Paris' air on my skin for the last time and taking pictures of places I'll miss as the Uber passes by them.

And, In a few hours, I was in Los Angeles' best University.

It is just about to begin.
