Chapter 3

Naomi POV

I walked around the building of Nicklaus, it's been three days now and I have not seen him. What could be happening to Nicklaus? This is so unlike him, not even a call from him.

Is he still mad at me? Is he doing this purposely just because I refuse to let him mark him? I am so worried about him right now.

I guess I just needed to kill my pride and try to call him. I took my seat in the living room and dialed his number, but it was not connecting. Then I texted him waiting for a response in the evening, but I got nothing from him.

What should I do? I need to get my message across to Nicklaus at all costs. Maybe getting access to the beta of the pack will make it easier for me.

I sent a message to Elijah, he is the beta of the Night Walker pack and also the best friend of Nicklaus, he always has easy access to Nicklaus. I got sad when I finally got his feedback.

“If you think lying about meeting Alpha Nicklaus as a way to run away from the pack, you must be dreaming, I will never let you out of the pack.” 

I felt the sharp pains again, and it was worse than the previous pains I have ever felt. I had to rush inside the room to rest on the bed and I remembered this same incident that occurred in my past life.

I need to go to Elijah myself and convince him I am being sincere about meeting Nicklaus for real, and I am not playing any tricks to run away from the pack.

There must be a way to meet Nicklaus. I got an idea, I should prepare food for him and used it as a method to get access to him.

I rushed to the kitchen, excusing the maid, letting them know I needed full access to the kitchen to prepare food, and they obeyed at once.

An hour later, I was done preparing the food, and then I packaged it up in a box and got ready to meet Elijah.

“What are you doing here, Miss Naomi?”

“I made food for Nicklaus, please let me in, so I can give it to him myself.”

“I never knew you would be this kind to bring food for our Alpha, but, nevertheless,I will take it to him, you may return.” He tried to get it from me, but I refused.

“Come on, Elijah, I mean no harm, I just want to give him myself.”

“I know your tricks Miss Naomi, you are doing all these, so you can run away as usual, I will not let that happen. Why do you always gain pleasure in hurting him? What did he ever do to you? All he did was to show you love, even when he knows you are weak.”

“Just trust me Elijah, I am not trying to run away, just give me the opportunity to speak with Nicklaus and give him the food myself.”

He paused and looked at me like someone trying to read my thought,“Did you poison the food? Why are you insisting on giving him yourself? You have never been this caring before.” 

“I beg your pardon, why will I poison Nicklaus?”

“You tell me, are your intentions pure?” I feel so frustrated right now, there is absolutely nothing I can do to make Elijah believe me for once.

How I wish I could tell him, I am living a second life to correct the mistakes of my previous life.

“Okay, let's do it this way since you don't believe me at all, why don't you let me see Nicklaus under your watch?”

“What if you try to run away? I know you will have a scheme immediately I let you in, and I might lose you as well, so it's definitely a no for me.”

“I don't have any scheme neither am I trying to run away, I promise to be under your watch, just believe me this once.” I begged him, and he looked at me and was deeply relieved.

“Okay fine, I got my eyes on you In case you attempt to play smart.” He added.

Wow, finally,I can't wait to see Nicklaus.

Elijah brought out his phone after he allowed me to go in with him, I stood waiting for him to reach him on the phone then the door opened revealing Vincent.

What the hell is this bastard doing here? How did he even get access to this door? He claimed to love me, but instead he used me and killed me because I was a fool. How I wish I could punch him hard on his face right now.

“Elijah, I am here to take Miss Naomi.”

“What do you mean, you are here to take Naomi away? On whose order?” Elijah questioned him.

I kept quiet looking at them, there is no way I was going to make a mistake twice in this life. I was a fool at the beginning, doesn't mean I will be a fool again.

He looked at me and let out a smile, thinking the smile would melt my heart, but I just laughed. He must be crazy to think everything will work according to his plan.

I didn't know if the phone was connected when Elijah tried calling him, but Vincent just ruined the whole thing with his appearance.

“Elijah, I am not here for much argument, don't get in my way Elijah.”

“If I don't let you have her, what will you do?” Elijah said, looking at him with hatred.

Vincent had an evil smile on his face and looked at me, saying,“Don't worry Naomi, I got this okay?” I was dumbfounded, not knowing what to say.

“Vincent I….” He prevented me from talking and said,“I told you, I got this.”

He faced Elijah again,“I won't repeat myself again, for the last time, I am here to take Naomi away and don't you interfere.“ He gripped my hands
