Chapter 12

I didn’t know what to say. I wanted him there as much as I didn’t and giving in to these kinds of emotions would turn out bad in the given situation. I can’t let my guard down for anything. However, I reluctantly went against my mind’s wishes.

"Alright, we can be friendly." I said coldly, as I watched his facial expression change from curious to relieved. Then a questionable look came across his face.

"Why are you so dismissive of me?" he asked me acting like there were no reason to be suspicious of him. To be honest there were quite a few reasons to be suspicious of him, including the fact that he’s always around! I pulled myself together and searched for a simple answer before replying.

"You are a vampire." I finally answered him, still standing on the road across from my porch. He began to move closer to where I was and I flashed him a look to stop him from coming any closer. He looked at me like I was forbidding him from entering his own house.

"I assure you I'm not a bad one.
