Chapter 62

Jamica.

The sound of the rain filled the air.

I stood beside the window of the cottage and watched a group of farmers hitting their hoes into the ground to till the ground for the upcoming season.

The ground had finally softened and the soil was ready for this year’s crops to be planted.

The snow had long since melted and while a crisp breeze still made the residents in this farm shiver, it was bearable with the furs they covered themselves with.

The dynamics of the River heart clan was quite unique.

A complex hierarchy where the non shifters in the pack are made to serve while the shifters are trained in battle grounds and raised as warriors just like myself.

As I stood there, lost in thought, I couldn't help but feel a sense of belonging to this unique pack. The River Heart clan, has been my safe haven.
