Tina Praise remembered how her village friend, Prisca Johnson, had come to her house and deceived her into following her to see a friend. Prisca claimed they wouldn’t stay long—just a few minutes.

Prisca begged, “Please, Tina, come follow me. Let us go see Sharon. I promise you, we won’t stay long, just for a few minutes. Please, don’t say no.”

Tina agreed. She followed Prisca out of her father’s house, and they went to see Sharon.

Prisca knew that if she had told Tina the truth, that she should consider dating Patrick, Tina would never have agreed.

Tina had repeatedly said she didn’t want a boyfriend. She didn’t want to lose her virginity or disappoint her poor mother, who had been struggling to feed her and her two younger brothers ever since their father abandoned them and ran away with another woman. They had not known his whereabouts since.

As they stepped out to the village road, Prisca stopped a bikeman and dragged Tina onto the bike with her, before she could change her mind.

When they arrived at the apartment where Sharon lived with her elder brother, Patrick Scott,

Tina scanned the front of the house with her eyes. She already felt uncomfortable, especially when she saw a tall, dark man step out from the house and walk up to the compound exit gate to meet them.

Tina’s heart beat loudly in her chest as the man approached. He hugged Prisca excitedly, greeted her, and left.

Tina became very uncomfortable when she noticed how the man had stared at her. She told Prisca, “Prisca… Why don’t you just call Sharon on the phone instead of us going into the house? Just tell her we are outside waiting for her.”

Prisca already knew Sharon was not yet home. She replied, “No, Tina, we have to go inside the house to wait for Sharon to arrive first.”

Prisca ignored calling Sharon again. She walked up to the front door and unlocked it without even knocking.

Tina sighed and stood aside, staring at Prisca. She blamed herself for following Prisca and not knowing the way back to her village.

Prisca opened the door and paused. “It’s not safe to stay out here alone, Tina. Come inside. It’s Sharon’s brother’s house. Let us wait for Sharon to arrive.”

“Sharon’s brother’s house??” Tina frowned as she repeated Prisca’s words. To the best of her knowledge, Prisca had never told her they were going to Sharon’s brother’s house. She had thought they were going to Sharon’s family house.

Tina frowned and subtly blamed herself for following Prisca. She didn’t even know the way back to her father’s house. Finally, she followed Prisca into the beautiful bungalow.

Prisca was thrilled to see Sharon’s brother, Patrick Scott—a handsome black man around twenty-five years old, wearing only shorts—as he stepped out from the kitchen into the living room. He had not expected to see Prisca.

Patrick’s eyes lit up when he also saw Tina. He was wearing only black boxers and had not thought Prisca would visit with her.

Patrick remembered how he had tried wooing Tina several times, all to no avail. She kept rejecting him and saying she was not interested in a relationship.

Immediately, Prisca rushed up and gave Patrick a hug. This made him fall backward onto the nearest blue couch, with Prisca sitting on his thighs and his hard dick. She stared at him sweetly.

But Patrick’s eyes remained glued on Tina, who stood nervously beside the entrance door. She refused to move away from it.

Patrick excused himself from Prisca and said, “Prisca… Why not sit on the couch? Let me properly welcome you and your friend. She looks so uncomfortable, and I’m still cooking too.”

“Okay Patrick,” Prisca replied. She moved away from his thighs and sat on the couch beside him.

Patrick stood up. He had about seven blue couches in his living room. He smiled and walked up to meet Tina, but she would not stare at him.

Patrick remembered how he had tried to woo Tina on his own several times, but she refused and ran away. He had spoken to his younger sister Sharon, who attended the same government school as Tina, but Sharon refused to help.

Sharon was corrupt. At sixteen she was already sleeping with different men and looked more mature than her age, even though she was slim. She had bluntly told him, “Tina and I are not friends, and you don’t expect me to be walking with that local champion. So I cannot speak to her for you.”

Patrick had begged and bribed Sharon until she introduced him to Prisca. But Prisca thought he wanted a relationship with her.

Patrick had seen Prisca and Tina walking together on the village road many times when he drove home to see his parents. His village was different from Tina’s.

Patrick had asked Prisca, “Prisca, I want to ask you—how about your fair-complexioned yellow friend I used to see you walking with on the village road?”

Prisca had thought he was interested in her and replied, “You mean Tina Praise… Tina doesn’t have time for guys or any relationship. So just forget about her. Tina is always at home taking care of her brothers or doing her homework, so I cannot bring her here to see you…”

Patrick knew Prisca thought he wanted her romantically, but he also knew she was a cheat who slept with different men for money, just like Sharon. He kept giving Prisca gifts for her friend and asked her to bring Tina whenever she visited to see Sharon. And now here she was.

Patrick then walked up to Tina and said, “Hi, pretty lady. I'm sorry that your friend doesn’t want to introduce us so we can get to know each other better. I’m Patrick Scott. Come have a seat.”

Patrick gestured for Tina to sit on one of the living room couches, but she remained rooted at the door.

Tina stared at Patrick's face and remembered she had seen him before—he was one of the guys who had been disturbing her for a relationship.

Tina glanced at Prisca, but Prisca stared away in jealousy, rolled her eyes, and looked back at Patrick.

Patrick repeated, “Have a seat, please…”

Tina then moved away from the door and sat on one of the blue couches closer to the exit. She was afraid and scared to be in a man’s house.

Patrick smiled as he watched Tina sit. He was still wearing only his black boxers, his chiseled masculine chest bare.

Prisca stood up, walked over to Patrick, held his right arm with both hands, and said, “Patrick, why not leave my friend alone? Let us go inside and enjoy ourselves since Sharon isn’t home yet.”

Patrick frowned and stared at Prisca’s face. He knew he was a rich guy and doing well for his age of twenty-five. He owned the house, and he understood that all Prisca wanted from him was sex and money.

Patrick had refused Prisca's advances several times, asking only for Tina. Yet Prisca still hoped he would date her.

Patrick then excused his arm from her hold and said, “No, Prisca. Why not make your friend feel comfortable? Let me go inside and get you both some drinks.”

He swiftly excused himself and went into the corridor to wear his clothes and get the drinks.
