Okay, it wasn’t just the Wave, Rayan had an abnormal stamina. There were several rounds before he even needed a break, and we both ended up lying side by side, breathing heavily.

I thought the desire I felt was only instinct, but clearly, there was something more.

I turned to see his sweaty body. He shifted on the bed, resting his head on one arm and stretching the other out. I don’t know why, but I leaned over, lying on top of him, and felt his arm wrap around my body.

“Where are you going?” I asked, tracing red lines across his chest with my nail.

“To the border,” he replied, running his fingers along my arm. “There’s a pack there causing trouble. You must’ve heard about it.”

“Yes, I’ve heard.” I turned toward him, resting my chin on his chest. “Will I be able to walk around freely while you’re gone?”

He lowered his gaze to me. “If you behave.”

“I’m already behaving,” I said, resting my face back on his chest and pouting.

“You have a very strange idea of behaving, feisty,” he said w

“Rayan…” I whispered his name through my heavy breath, a smile I couldn’t hold back spreading across my face. “You’re awake.”“Yes,” he said, his voice still hoarse and low, that arrogant smile intact tho. “Don’t dodge the question. Did you miss me that much?”“No.” I slapped his shoulder, making him groan in pain. He had barely opened his eyes and was already irritating me again.“Liar.” He said with a laugh.“You think too highly of yourself, Rayan.” I shot back, quickly pulling the cloth from his forehead.“Just a little,” he replied without taking his eyes off me. “But I’m the Alpha, I kind of deserve to think highly of myself.”I grabbed the flask of infusion and poured a bit into a cup. I pressed it to his lips, but he tilted his head to the side, eyeing me suspiciously.“What do you think it is? Poison?” I asked, incredulous. “I could’ve killed you already, Rayan. I’ve been taking care of you since yesterday morning.”“Really?” he asked, genuine surprise flickering across his f

“Where is he?” I asked, gripping her shoulders urgently. I don’t know what kind of spirit possessed me, but I ran after her, following the guards. This was bad, very bad. I hadn’t managed to earn everyone’s trust yet. If he died, it would be terrible for me.That’s what I told myself. But the truth… The truth was that I was worried. There was a tightness in my chest at the thought that he might be fatally wounded. I cursed myself for ever wishing he’d die at the border. Rayan was mine and mine alone. If anyone was going to take his life, it would be me.We reached a room on the first floor of the fortress. I opened the doors with panic painted across my face. A pair of healers were leaning over the bed. Roamur stood beside it, his back to the entrance. When he turned around, he looked at me with hatred and shouted, “Get that woman out of here!”The guards moved toward me, but I spoke with authority. “I am his Luna. I have the right to be here.”They stopped, exchanging uncertain glan

Violet..It was already night, and I was dressed in a long white silk nightgown with thin straps and lace at the bust. Diana had already retired, and I was ready for sleep, just watching the moon through the window and going over everything I had learned. It had been a short time, but enough for me to notice some things. The last two days had been very productive. I managed to get closer to Nara, and Diana had been telling me a lot about the Karin’s routine and history. I even visited her mother, and we had some tea while I listened to stories about Rayan. He seemed respected and well-regarded, exactly as an alpha should be.If they knew what he had done to me, would he still be seen that way? Or would they side with him just because I was the enemy? I took a deep breath, leaning against the window. It didn’t matter; I would never know. Exposing him wouldn’t lead anywhere, at least not if I did it all at once. I would have to do it little by little, like I had with Nara. When she ask

Rayan..Violet could be an unbearable brat, but she was delicious in bed and certainly made me think about her more often than I wanted. I looked at myself in a mirror in one of the corridors, seeing the bite mark she had left on my arm still red, her teeth visible on my skin.As soon as the Wave ended, I had to throw her out of my room. Not because I wanted to humiliate her, the truth was I expected a different reaction from myself. I thought I would wake up and not want her there, that I would want to hurt and torment her again for all the rage I felt toward her.But it wasn’t like that.I woke up looking for her warmth beside me, wanting to kiss her again, and that scared me. So I had to get her away from me. And that, of course, earned me this mark that would certainly leave a scar. Not that it mattered; she had marked my body with nails and teeth during those last days.“Sh*t…” I breathed, feeling memories of those days of wild sex come back. No, I would not let any feeling blo

“So,” I said, turning to the two women. “Would you like to take a walk in the garden with me?”“Oh, I would love to!” Nara said enthusiastically, turning to Aurora, who did not share the same enthusiasm.“I’ll have to decline this time,” Aurora answered with a respectful nod. “I need to take care of some matters in the pack’s treasury.”The treasurer? Great. Knowing who handled the finances here was essential.“Oh, you’re the treasurer here?” I asked, interested.“Orion and I are responsible for that part,” she replied and looked at Nara. “Weren’t you supposed to check the stock?”Nara seemed a little confused, as if she didn’t know what she was talking about. “Ah…” she breathed, thinking for a moment, then continued, “Alright, I’ll do it later. I’ll take a walk with Violet.”“Well… if you’ll allow me.” Aurora said, stepping away with a displeased air.I’m not sure approaching her would be easy, but at least Nara seemed more receptive.“Shall we?” I asked, standing up. Nara joined me,
