Fourteen

Evander POV.

I got in the room and saw her small body attached to too many machines, they need those to keep an eye on her, I checked her vitals, checked her numbers, making sure that the treatment they pumped into her body is working, everything seemed to be good, but my heart still skipped beats. Good thing, we won't die from heart failure, our body is too strong for that, we can survive without it beating for hours, and days even sometimes, I sat on the bed with her, pulling her in my arms.

"Violet" I whisper her name but she doesn't respond, she just keeps on sleeping in my arms, I took a deep breath, taking her smell in, she smells like the best baby ever, like my baby.

I held her closer, closing my eyes and enjoying the closeness of us right now, she's gonna take some time to wake up, I could just rest for a little while until she's ready to get up.
