Ronnie’s POV

The audacity of it almost made me laugh.

He stood there like he was doing me a favor… like coming back into my life was some kind of mercy I should be grateful for. Like I was supposed to lower my head, swallow my pride, and beg him to choose me again.

It hit me then.

He hadn’t changed.

Not even a little.

Still the same narrow thinking. Still trying to measure something bigger than him with tools that would never be enough.

I looked at him properly this time.

Not the way I used to…

  • WANTED! KING NOLAN'S OBSESSION.   67: A Book

Nolan’s POVI shouldn’t have come. That was the first thought that settled in my mind the moment I turned my back on her.The noise of the celebration filled the air again as I walked away, but it didn’t reach me. It felt distant. Muffled. Like I was moving through something thick, something that swallowed sound before it could touch me.My steps were steady. But inside...There was nothing steady about it.Ex-mate.I had said it so easily. Like it was just a word. Like it didn’t carry weight.I shouldn’t have looked at her. That was the mistake.Because now... That image refused to leave. The way she stood there.I slowed my steps just a fraction. Then forced myself forward again.Eventually, I left the pack without doing what I had originally come for. ***The journey back to the Lycan Kingdom felt longer than it should have. Not because of distance.Because of the silence that enveloped the car The kind that leaves you alone with your own thoughts.By the time I stepped into the

  • WANTED! KING NOLAN'S OBSESSION.   66: Ex-Mate.

Ronnie’s POVThe night of the celebration came with noise. Not the kind that hurts your ears… but the kind that settles into your bones whether you like it or not.Music drifted through the trees, deep and steady. Drums. Laughter. Voices blending into one long, endless hum. The entire pack looked different...alive in a way I hadn’t seen in years. Lanterns hung from tree branches, glowing soft gold against the dark sky. Banners stretched across the clearing, silver and green dancing in the wind like they were proud to exist.Everyone was dressed up.Even the air felt dressed up.And then there was me.Standing at the edge of it all. Watching everyone. I had taken my time getting ready, but it didn’t feel like effort. It felt like putting on a version of myself I wasn’t sure I still understood. The dress clung to my body in a way that made me aware of every step I took, every breath I drew.People noticed. I could feel their eyes. Some curious. Some judgmental. Some just… watching to s

  • WANTED! KING NOLAN'S OBSESSION.   65: Interesting

Reuben’s POVThe room was quiet when I opened my eyes. Too quiet. For a second, I just lay there, staring at the ceiling, letting the last bits of sleep fade from my mind. The sheets were tangled around my waist, warm, carrying the faint scent of perfume that didn’t belong to me.I turned my head slightly. Two bodies lay on the bed beside me, both still fast asleep. One curled on her side, the other half-covered by the sheets, breathing softly like nothing in the world could disturb her.I watched them for a moment. Then I looked away. There was no feeling attached to it. No attachment. No curiosity. Nothing.Just… routine.I pushed the sheets off and sat up, running a hand through my hair as I stood. The cold floor grounded me instantly, dragging me fully out of whatever haze I had woken from.I didn’t look back at them again.I walked straight into the bathroom.***The water hit my skin hard.Hot and exactly what I needed.I braced my hand against the wall, lowering my head slightl

  • WANTED! KING NOLAN'S OBSESSION.   64: Consolation Price

Olivia’s POVThe morning sun spilled across my vanity, reflecting off the crystal perfume bottles and silk ribbons that littered the surface, but the light felt dull. I was restless, the kind of agitation that came from knowing the palace was in a state of flux. The "pollutant" was gone...kicked back to her backwater pack where she belonged...but the victory felt incomplete as long as Nolan remained locked away in his high tower of cold indifference.I was contemplating which lace gown would best suit my mood when a firm, rhythmic knock sounded at my door. I smoothed my hair, expecting a maid with tea or perhaps a messenger from Aunt Sloane."Come in," I called out, pitching my voice to its most elegant register. The door swung open, but it wasn't a servant. It was Kim. He stood in the doorway, his expression as unreadable as ever, but in his arms, he carried a weight of shimmering, deep-green silk that seemed to glow against the dark fabric of his uniform. On top of the fabric rested

  • WANTED! KING NOLAN'S OBSESSION.   63: A Hundred Replacements

Nolan’s POVKylian was restless, pacing the dark corridors of my mind with a low, continuous snarl. He didn't want this silence that was heavy upon the wide space of the room. He wanted the scent of vanilla and citrus that had vanished the moment that black sedan pulled out of the driveway.I turned away from the window, my gaze landing on the wardrobe door. I hadn't opened it since she left. I didn't want to see the space she had occupied, or the lingering ghost of her presence. But a strange impulse pulled me toward it.I pulled the doors open, the hinges let out a faint, mournful groan. And there it was.Tucked away in the furthest corner, likely placed there by a maid. The emerald dress.I had envisioned her wearing it down the aisle while I stood at the podium, waiting for her to reach. Waiting for us to finally bond and become inseparable.I reached out, my fingers brushing the cool, shimmering silk. It felt like ice against my skin. I never got the chance to give it to her. I n

  • WANTED! KING NOLAN'S OBSESSION.   62: Countdown

Ronnie’s POVThe weight of the secret felt so heavy. It was a word whispered in movies, and in some old myths, a trait that remained only in the bedtime stories of pups.It was supposed to be real. It was formulated by someone, not a reality. Why then did it happen to me?Or did I make a mistake?Despite the millions of questions in my mind, the feeling from that night with Dagger came flooding into my mind, reminding me that it wasn’t a mere dream, or an illusion as I thought it to be.Jessie stood up quickly, shifting my thoughts.“I’ll be back shortly,” she said, smiling. “Let me go and get us a bottle of drink capable of drowning out our sorrows.I forced a smile back, making sure I maintained the smile till she had made it out of the room.Immediately the door shut behind her, I collapsed onto the bed. There was only one person I could ask, one person who might have the truth hidden behind that motherly smile.I found my mother in the small herb garden behind the house. The late

  • WANTED! KING NOLAN'S OBSESSION.   6: Stop her!

Ronnie's POV The words kept echoing in my head."I would rather die than see you with another man."The nerve of him made my vision blur with anger. This was the same man who disregarded our bond to be in my step-sister’s bed. The same man who had looked me straight in the eyes weeks ago and told

  • WANTED! KING NOLAN'S OBSESSION.   21: An Extra day

Ronnie’s POVBreakfast felt heavier than usual. Not because of the food.Because of the silence.I sat at the long dining table, my fingers lightly wrapped around the fork, but I hadn’t taken a bite in a while. The clinking of cutlery echoed softly around the room, yet no one spoke. It wasn’t the p

Ronnie's POVI remained frozen for a very long while.Long enough till I slept off.By the time my eyes opened again, I could see how the morning light tried to make its way inside the room through the little space between the curtains. My head snapped up.He was no longer there.Of course, what wa

  • WANTED! KING NOLAN'S OBSESSION.   9: A flash

Nolan’s POVRight from the moment that the car was being loaded with her belongings, I knew I was doomed for trouble. I had asked her mother and friend to get her things prepared for the trip. That was last night while they waited to see her. "There's no need to worry about any big celebrations,
