Ronnie’s POV

The weight of the secret felt so heavy.

It was a word whispered in movies, and in some old myths, a trait that remained only in the bedtime stories of pups.

It was supposed to be real. It was formulated by someone, not a reality. Why then did it happen to me?

Or did I make a mistake?

Despite the millions of questions in my mind, the feeling from that night with Dagger came flooding into my mind, reminding me that it wasn’t a mere dream, or an illusion as I thought it to be.

  • WANTED! KING NOLAN'S OBSESSION.   Chapter 223

Desmond’s POVThe box sat on the table in front of me, untouched for months.I had moved it from one corner of my room to another, sometimes telling myself I would finally go through its contents, other times pretending I had forgotten it was there. But I had never forgotten. How could I?Everything inside belonged to the woman I had loved more than my own life.El-Korah.I stared at the wooden box for a long time before reaching for the lid. My fingers hesitated against its edge, and I had to take a deep breath before lifting it.The familiar scent of old fabric and paper greeted me.There were a few pictures of us together, some of her personal belongings, her journal, and the tiny baby socks she had bought when she was still carrying our child.I swallowed the lump in my throat and reached for the socks. They were so small that I could barely hold them properly between my fingers. El-Korah had laughed when she showed them to me, saying our baby would probably outgrow them before we

  • WANTED! KING NOLAN'S OBSESSION.   Chapter 222

Ronnie’s POVI had been restless since I returned from the Ancient Library.I tried distracting myself with work, but it didn't help. I tried taking a nap, but my mind wouldn't let me. Even when I sat still, my thoughts kept going back to everything I had learned over the past few days. And the worst part?I had no idea what to do about any of it.I still couldn't believe Mrs. Aya Lester was dead. I had only met her once, but she had been willing to help me understand my bloodline. Now she was gone, and the book she had shown me had somehow disappeared too. Someone had removed it.I couldn't prove that her death and the missing book were connected, but I couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. There’s every possibility that someone is trying to shut every door in my face. By the time dinner was served, my head was already hurting.I walked into the dining room and immediately regretted it.Everyone was there. The Royal Lycan family. The same people I had sat with countl

  • WANTED! KING NOLAN'S OBSESSION.   Chapter 221

Ronnie’s POVThe next morning, I woke up with even more questions than I had gone to bed with. And the annoying part?Nolan was still nowhere to be found.I hadn’t set my eyes on him since after the dinner, and although I was worried about him, I couldn’t keep sitting around waiting for him to show up while my own life was falling apart.First, I had discovered that Sarah wasn’t my biological mother. Then I found out that my biological parents were Lord Desmond and El-Korah, a woman whose bloodline had been hunted because of a prophecy. Now, I was beginning to suspect that Nolan and I might be related.Honestly, what the hell was going on with my life?I sat on the edge of the bed, staring at my hands.I needed answers. And there was only one place I could think of going. The Ancient Library. The last time I visited, I had gone there to learn about my four stars. I never expected that the place would become so important to me, but the librarian who had helped me had shown me something

  • WANTED! KING NOLAN'S OBSESSION.   Chapter 220

Ronnie’s POV“But why?”Sarah looked at me, her lips trembling as she struggled to find the right words.“I don’t know the depths of it, Ronnie,” she finally said. “I only know that it was prophesied that your bloodline would become a threat. I don’t know what the prophecy said exactly, or what your family did to deserve being treated this way.”I stared at her.“Why didn’t you try to at least understand it better since it’s this important?”“Do you really think it’s that easy for a maid to snoop into royal business?” She snapped, startling me.She immediately looked away, her breathing uneven.“I’m sorry,” she whispered. “I’m sorry, Ronnie. I just… I have carried this secret for so long that sometimes I don’t even know how to talk about it anymore.”My anger faltered a little.Sarah had always been there for me. Whatever else I might discover about my past, I couldn’t deny that she had raised me, loved me, and done everything she could to protect me.But that didn’t mean I could pret

  • WANTED! KING NOLAN'S OBSESSION.   Chapter 219

Ronnie’s POVMy mother’s door fell open, and Lord Desmond stepped out.I froze with my hands on the doorknob for more than a minute.“Are you seeing what I’m seeing?” Jessie whispered behind me.I didn’t reply to that; I mean, before I even got the chance to reply, he turned towards our direction.“Ronita.” He called with a tone that made what I was seeing feel a lot more uncomfortable. He didn’t waste much time disappearing from the corridor. It was not until he had completely disappeared from the hallways before I finally opened the door to my room. Now, looking in, I suddenly forgot what my reason for coming to my room was in the first place.I turned towards my mom’s room immediately.I totally forgot to knock; I just cracked the door open, impatience feasting on me.The moment her eyes met mine, I froze. For the first two to three seconds, I could see fear in her eyes.“Ronnie?” She immediately called out in that high-pitched tone that always read, ‘all is not fine, but I’m not a

  • WANTED! KING NOLAN'S OBSESSION.   Chapter 218

Nolan’s POVI woke up in the seer’s cave with Kim sitting a few feet away from me.For a moment, I stared at the cave ceiling, trying to gather my thoughts. My body still felt weak, and there was a dull ache in my chest that reminded me of what had happened the previous night. Then I remembered Ronnie.“How long have I been here?” I asked.Kim looked up from his phone. “Basically the whole morning.”The whole morning?A small sigh escaped my lips.I had barely slept the previous night. After the attack, I had returned to my room hoping that some rest would help me recover, but it hadn’t. The pain had eased a little, only to return whenever I tried to move. By the time I realised I wasn’t getting any better, I knew I couldn’t remain in my room.I had to get to the seer’s cave. The problem was that I could barely move on my own.I had waited until the palace was quiet and every member of the family had gone to sleep. More importantly, I had waited until Ronnie was no longer outside my r
