CHAPTER 4

Nyla met only her daddy at home and she’s more closed to her dad and share lot of her things with her dad more than her mom. She’s excited to find out that her mom stepped out for an important meeting and she won’t be coming home any time soon. She rush to her bedroom and change her dressing, from her uniform to her house clothe. She’s actually hungry so she rush to the dining room where her lunch was set before her arrival by the maids at home. She ate to her satisfaction then take some fruits as usual.

Nyla gave a thought about her driver, she can’t tell if he had eaten something or not and she rush out only find her driver cleaning her shoes. She stop the driver from doing it and ask him if he has eaten something and the driver said no so Nyla ordered the maids to get him something to eat and she left and goes back inside. She wish to wash a movie but her dad interrupted her and ask her if she have eaten something she said yes so at this point her dad ask her to take a nap before any other thing. Ok daddy Nyla said excitedly and she rush to her bedroom for a rest.

She is too excited today, what’s happening? Why is she this jovial ? Did she pass a test in class as usual or did she win a gift? Her dad wondered inwardly. Nyla will always hesitate before doing anything, especially when she wants to watch a movie so why will she just rush to the room immediately without arguments or acting naughty? Perhaps the movie she was about watching is not that interested, Nyla’s dad said and he walked into his bedroom to have a nap too.

Kai is home and his dad is not around, he is happy cause he will make it on time today and his daddy won’t be disappointed as always. He quickly change and rush to the bathroom to take a shower. He finish with his shower and he dressed up, he admires himself on the mirror then he smile. I think dad isn’t here yet I should eat something before he comes back. Kai said walking towards the kitchen to make something for himself. Immediately he enters the kitchen, he gets the sound of his daddy’s car so he stopped what he was doing and rush out to welcome his dad home. Hey! You back already? Kai’s dad asked? Yes daddy I wanted to catches up with time, I hate when you keep telling me you’re disappointed, so I guess you’re happy with me today daddy? Kai said almost crying...! Not an issue, I appreciate you for honoring my appointment son. Come on! Let’s talk inside. Alright daddy, they both walk in and Kai’s dad is sitting comfortable on a chair opposite Kai.

Kai’s dad asked for this meeting because he has always wish to tell his son how he was born and the reason he doesn’t have a wife and hate girls. At some point his son have been demanding to know about his mom especially whenever his friends are talking about their parents and all he can talk of is his daddy and not even for a second have he spoken about his mom. Kai’s dad wants to tell him the truth but finding it difficult to say because he wouldn’t want to hurt his son in anyway and he doesn’t want his son to hate his mother as well but still he has to tell him the truth. At this point he is confused and doesn’t know what to do nor how to start too.

Kai’s dad have been wondering inwardly for a while and there was silence in the house so Kai decided to break the silence with a question. He asked his dad what he have eaten the whole day and if he will want him to make something both of them could eat at the moment before the start of their conversation. His dad accepted this offer such he will use the opportunity to figure out how he will starts talking to his son about his mom without hurting him in anyway.

Kai made something for them to eat, as both are eating happily, Kai remember the girl that helped her on her way from school. He decided share Nyla’s kindness with her dad. All his life, he knows ladies always want to have help from guys and not wishing to help a guy, in fact, Kai’s philosophy states that “ALL GIRLS ARE SELFISH” and he was shocked when this girl offered him help. His dad was amazed by the story and they both praise Nyla’s kindness together. Kai’s dad wishes yo meet Nyla so he can appreciate her for helping his son when he needed and had no idea anyone would offer him such help.

Daddy! Kai starts up another conversation, “why are you always refusing to talk about my mom? Why do you hate her so much? Why are you hiding her identity from me? Don’t you want me to see my mom too? Or, daddy is mommy beyond concrete? Do you have any issue telling me the whereabouts of my mom? Daddy please I need to know my mom, I want to see her, my friends talk about their moms everyday and I will just sit and have nothing to say. Daddy please tell me the truth! Where’s my mom?” Kai demands! His dad kept quite for a while then decided to speak up.

“Your mom! He starts!, Yes my mom! Kai insisted.”

“Your mom is very much alive and you will see her if that will make you happy but before you do I will want to discuss something very important with you before you get to meet her.” Kai’s dad said. “The reason I made an appointment with you was for this and I appreciate the fact that you started up this conversation and there’s nothing I will hide from you I will tell you nothing but the truth. Everything you want to know I will tell,”he swears!
