A week later,

As Rose sat in the backseat of the car by his side, she felt a pang of conscience asking her why is she still with him?

The thought has been bothering her for a long time now.

Although she has been feigning indifference and giving cold shoulder to Daniel since the past few days, she still just couldn't figure out what is stopping her from cutting the ties off with him for once and all.

"Thanks for accompanying me to this party" she heard Daniel's soft voice that interrupted her thoughts.

But giving no response back and she just kept her gaze firm staring outside the window.

Her ignorance did hurt him but like always he shrugged the thought away.

Nevertheless, he was genuinely happy to still have her by his side.

"A happily ever after feels like an unfeasible dream at this point of time but no matter what, at least he would keep his promise to keep her safe until his very last breath" he thought.
