LOGINSia wanted one night, just one daring, unforgettable night with Knight Smithfield, the boy she’s quietly loved from afar. What she didn’t expect… was to kiss his twin brother instead. A masked moment and a stolen kiss that felt too right to question until a photo exploded across campus, turning her secret into scandal. Now, Sia is forced to be in a fake relationship with Richard, the wrong twin… and the only one who knows the truth. As if that wasn't complicated enough, their parents just got married, forcing all three under one roof. Living with the Smithfield twins should’ve made things clear. Love one. Hate the other. Easy, right? Except nothing feels easy when Richard starts becoming something more than a mistake, and Knight suddenly starts acting like he wants her too. One kiss changed everything. Now Sia is caught between two brothers, two hearts… and one impossible choice. Was it just a twisted accident— Or was it fate playing her hand?

I knew I should have stayed home. Amy swore this party would change everything I had hoped for. Wellington’s annual masked party was exactly what I had waited for.
I hated the idea of a loud, sweaty party and people pretending to be what they are not, but I had to do all of that just to catch the attention of my long-time crush.
“Finally,” I mumbled, sipping my wine. I looked at Amy, her wild eyes were waiting to see how I'd approach the one thing that brought me to the masked party.
I adjusted my mask and walked towards the gentleman I had my eyes on since high school, his abs were on sight, covered with a well tailored suit. His pretty eyes followed my steps as I moved closer—
I paused. Amy saw the mask right, didn't she? I picked my phone and texted her, the noise had covered every conversation.
“Hey, what mask did you say he was on again?” I pressed the send button and she looked up at me.
She smiled, I watched her text back.
“He's right in front of you, with the dark purple mask, and he's in a white suit too. Be careful, talk to him nicely.”
My phone beeped, I read the message and took a deep breath.
Right. Knight Smithfield. Star forward, campus legend and my one-sided crush for the last two years…here I come.
I scanned the crowd and spotted him. He stood across the dance floor, one hand in his pocket, the other holding a drink he didn’t seem interested in. His eyes were on me again, and I finally got closer. Well, enough to not be creepy.
My stomach flipped as soon as he looked closely at me.
Amy gave me a shove. “Go say hi.”
I didn’t think it would be that easy.
“Thought it was high time you came to me,” he said, low and teasing.
“What?”
He stepped in close, real close. His cologne wrapped around me.
“I’ve been at this party all night and I haven't seen someone stare at me as much as you did.”
“Oh, that. I'm so sorry. I just love your mask. I didn't realize you were watching too, I was just too caught up with my friend, you know…”
He smiled. “So, how's the party going tonight?”
I never imagined Knight would be interested in talking to me, he never looked my way every time I walked around or showed up.
“My friend brought me here,” I began. “Can I ask you something?”
He nodded in approval.
“Do you know who I am?” I asked,
“You have a mask on, but I'm sure you know who I am.”
“Yeah, you're Knight. Forgive me for this—”
I hastily leaned in and kissed him. I didn’t want to but I had to. Just one kiss was what I expected to make him know I was in love with him.
I pulled back to breathe, but his hands wrapped around my waist, pulling me closer.
His lips brushed mine. I responded like I had been waiting forever. He tasted like trouble, something I never expected would satisfy me so much. My fingers curled into his jacket. He cupped my jaw like I was something breakable. My heart forgot how to beat at that moment.
He released me and took off his mask. “You taste really sweet, princess.”
“Oh my god.”
“What was that?”
“I just kissed you and you kissed me back.” I said, squealing.
“Yes I did.” He answered.
“Did you know I was in love with you?”
Before he could answer, a familiar voice cut in.
“Richard? I'm taking the car home, you should find a different driver.” I turned to see another Knight standing close to me.
“Oh my God,” I breathed. I shoved him hard in the chest. “You’re not Knight!?”
“You didn't ask who I was.” He said, a smirk curled up on his lips.
Knight stood right behind us, confused and less concerned as he always was.
Gosh! I just kissed Richard. I was never meant to kiss Richard. I should have known it wasn't him. Knight never looked at me, he wasn't always one to talk much.
I looked at the mark on Richard's neck, Knight doesn't have it. I made such a huge mistake.
I ran off, embarrassed. Tears almost dripped from my eyes.
“I kissed Richard. It was Richard not Knight, Amy. I think I've made a mistake.” I cried, Amy was half drunk and it only made it all worse to cry right beside her.
I went to the bathroom to wash off my face, and forget everything that happened.
“He knew I never meant to kiss him and he kissed me back! Such a jerk.” I yelled, rubbing my face aggressively.
So many thoughts ran through my head. Did Knight see that? Was that why he showed up? To see who his brother was kissing?
I brushed my lips, the kiss replaying as a scene in my head. He tasted better, but it was all a mistake.
“Don't tell me you regret taking a bold step.” Richard walked in, all cocky. “It's just a kiss, you'll be fine. No one cares.”
“I care, okay? You just ruined two years of my life's preparation. You just ruined my whole life infact.”
“Wait, I did? You kissed me.” He protested.
“But you kissed me back. I thought you were Knight. I was only in love with Knight and I never meant to kiss you, and you know that! You jerk!” I yelled.
“I didn’t stop you because it was all over your face,” he said, a little amused.
“I hate you.”
“Come on, it was just a kiss.”
I clenched my jaw. “You could’ve stopped it.”
“But you didn’t want me to,” he said.
I hated that he was right.I hated that I could still feel his lips on mine like the aftertaste of a dream I wasn’t ready to wake up from.
I walked out of the bathroom without saying another word. The party didn’t stop just because I was having a bad day.
I stood there for a moment, frozen in my thoughts, the memory of that kiss hitting me like a slap every few seconds. I hated how it all turned out and decided to drink. Amy was busy having fun better than I expected, she didn't see how messed up I was.
The alcohol burned its way down, warm and numbing, helping me forget the way Richard’s lips had felt, how firm his hands had been. I ignored him all night. If he looked my way, I looked the other. I tried every possible best of mine to ignore everything that happened, beating myself up each time I remember I kissed Richard, and Knight probably saw it.
“This is the end. I'm never getting Knight ever again! Not now, not ever. I'm totally toast.”
Richard's Pov How did he know that? “Uh—” My mouth opened. I realized for the umpteenth time how much of a mistake I had made by coming over to his room. “I'm not sure I understand what you mean by that, Knight.”“Oh, you don't?” He looked me in the eyes and shook his head. “Sia told me everything I needed to know. You should make up your mind to stop lying and come clean. You've been taking advantage of her, and you know this, or don't you?” No. Never. There was no way he would manipulate me into thinking I did something wrong. “You've got to be kidding me. You're just realizing because she told you. How could you have known there was a woman in love with you? Tell me about it.” “This is not the point, Richard.” “Oh. So then, tell me the point. You've been nonchalant. Nothing but nonchalant to that lady. I like her very much - way much more than you. What choice did you leave me with? I'm sorry I used your room and phone to achieve this, but I don't think it's something I'm g
Knight's Pov “What are you talking about?” A very important question I should have asked long before now. “I don't understand you.” I moved away before catching up with her again. The only thing I wanted was an explanation. That was all I would ever want. “And what do you mean by my brother texting you with my number?” So many questions I had to ask. “I'm not sure I understand anything.” “Calm down.” She urged. Sia pointed at the bridge of the pool. “You must sit down if you're going to have this conversation. It's a long one, Knight.” She walked towards it, took a seat, and waited for me. Was I making a mistake by trusting her? What if her aim was to push me into the pool and have me killed? Did I have to trust her? “Knight?” I snapped out of my thoughts, glanced at her, and walked to that pool. Without hesitation or thinking twice, I took a seat and looked at her. “I'm listening. Tell me everything I must know.” “Right.” First, there was silence. Sia didn't say a word.
Sia's Pov “Wh—what are you doing here?” “It's my brother's room the last time I checked.” “Did you send that text?” He looked at the bed. I did the same, and there, I found Knight's phone. “Why are you with his phone?” I asked, more than confused at whatever it was going on here. “I'm confused.” “I just—” He looked at me. “Wanted you here.” “You have your room, Richard—” I announced. Maybe he forgot. This was just wrong. “You should have taxed me with your number, and I'd be there before you even know it.” “You and I know you wouldn't bulge.” He was right. I wouldn't bulge. Is that why he disturbed me? I didn't feel disturbed at this moment. “I—” My mouth opened. It shut because he was right in front of me at this moment. “I don't know what to say. You know the relationship is fake.” “I know—” He adjusted, standing right in my front, with no space - literally. “I just need you to know something, Sia. There's no way I could have told you if I didn't do it this way. You don't
Sia's Pov It's been exactly one week since our parents left the country on that trip out of the country. My stepbrothers and I didn't do much. Every morning, we had breakfast in the dining room and talked about things that should be discussed. Knight didn't do much - he basically ate and scrolled through his phone. Now that our parents were not around to dictate whether we would use our phones at the diner or not, Knight did whatever he wanted. “Good morning, Richard.” “Good morning, Sia.” He looked up from the table and moped at me. “Did you sleep well?” Yes, I did. How couldn't I? The bed was a big one, more than comfortable and lest I forget, I had an AC in my room. “Yes. Thank you.” I settled into a chair and looked at him. “Did you sleep well?” “I guess so—” The man nodded. “Uhm. I made breakfast.” He pointed at the trays. “Rachel's off is happening today and I had to come up with something, or we would starve.” He picked something from a tray and put it on a plate, lea
Sia's Pov All this time, I thought our presence in their family had caused a dent. “What?”“Nothing, Richard. Nothing.” He nodded and continued to drive. The silence was killing me, and I had something to say. “I assumed my family - my mom and I have caused havoc in your home. Does Mr. Smithfiel
Knight’s Pov “What?!” I burst into laughter, completely abandoning my phone. “What, Chris?” Chris himself was laughing. “I know. I know.” He laughed out loud. “That's the same thing I wanted to do, I just was too embarrassed to do it. Why would he think I have a hand in the situation when I don'
Sia's Pov This was not even a bad idea. I sat in the front row of the court and watched. Knight could be seen holding up his tripod, he was setting it up so that his fans could watch. What did he even gain from doing this? On the other hand was Richard, whom I didn't give a fuck about. At least
Sia's Pov In less than one week, I had settled completely into the large mansion. With help from Amy, of course. She made sure she came over after school hours and spent time with me, assisting with anything I believed needed assistance. “What would I do without you?” “Everything.” She answered
