Richard's Pov

I looked dead straight into her eyes, she was fuming and I had to choose my words carefully.

“Did you just say Knight? What has he been telling you?” I asked, pinning her to the wall.

“Leave me alone. You don't deserve to know anything. You should answer my question first.” She exhaled, struggling to get out of my grip.

I knew I had to keep the truth from her. I sighed, releasing her.

“Fine. I knew my dad was going to get married. But I couldn't actually guess that it was your mum. You shouldn't blame everything on me.” I said, pocketing my hands.

“Yeah, I shouldn't.”

She tried to walk away, I held her hands and pulled her into my arms.

If I hadn't made sure my plan went well, dad would have probably found out about everything. No one should know nothing. Not Sia, not my father or that motherfucker.

Knight probably said something to piss her off. I had no intention of messing things up, I just wanted to give my little pet a taste of something she was clearly craving.

“You can't change anything now, Sia. Nothing can change. Can we just move on?”

“You knew and you kissed me. Is that how you bag other girls in college? I'm not one of them, Richard, I'm not.”

Damnit! She's so graceful.

“Listen, you want to walk out there and denounce what we have going on, which you clearly are trying so hard to deny… fine! Do it. It wouldn't be my problem anymore if everyone keeps sucking at you. Jesus, Sia. God knows what Knight has been telling you, and you? You just want to ruin it all.”

“You could have said something earlier about our parents getting married.” She countered, her voice low.

“I don't know how to convince him to not marry the woman he chose to stay with for two weeks even at the expense of missing his son's birthday. It was never my choice to make.”

“Well, good thing you know that it all can not work out. We have to choose one.”

“Which is?” I asked, keeping my cool knowing the urge to hold her in my arms was a cup filled.

“Stay step siblings and stop the damn news of me dating a Smithfield brother. Now I can't even have a perfect life.”

“So… does that mean we’re going to be step-siblings?” I asked, feigning surprise.

She exhaled like it pained her. “Yeah. Which means we have to reannounce that we broke up.”

“We can’t do that,” I replied quickly. “Not until I figure out who leaked those pictures. If we suddenly announce a break up and they find out we’re step-siblings, it’s going to blow up worse.”

She blinked, clearly exhausted. I could see the frustration in her shoulders, the way her breathing slowed like she was trying to keep herself together.

“Fine,” she muttered. “If we’re going to fake date, there have to be rules.”

I raised a brow. “Rules?”

She looked me straight in the eye. “Yes. Rules. Like no sudden kisses. No touching. No weird staring like you’re doing now.”

I smirked. “That’s a rule?”

“Yes,” she snapped. “No feelings, no games. We’re step-siblings now. The kiss never happened and it won't happen again.”

“I can’t,” I said.

She froze. “What?”

“I can’t forget the kiss,” I repeated, quieter this time.

She looked away, jaw tight. “You better forget about it, Richard. Before everything gets more complicated than it already is.”

“I’ll try.” I smiled, a sinister idea roaming my thoughts.

I didn’t plan on forgetting any of it. There was one more thing to do, teach a worthless being a lesson.

“I have rules too.” I began. “You attend every hockey game and cheer for me, not for Knight.”

“What?” She exclaimed.

“I'm dead serious. You'll move in soon anyway, you'll get used to having me around. And because of that, no private conversations with Knight.” I added.

“You're ridiculous.” She said and adjusted her dress.

Sooner or later, she'd be in my arms removing those dresses. Taking it easy on her was never the plan from the start, but I had to. I couldn't risk her slipping out of my hands on my watch.

We walked back to class holding hands. She tried to act like it was normal, but her hand twitched in mine like her body wasn’t on board with her brain.

Knight stared at us the moment we got in, the whole class started murmuring. I gave Sia a bright smile and everyone else minded their business. Except Knight, of course.

After class, the driver showed up, standing by the sleek black SUV like always.

Knight got into the car, I took one more glance at Sia, passing a blow kiss.

“Mr. Smithfield said I should come along with Miss Sia,” he said.

I glanced at her. “Well, well. Looks like you're riding with us.”

“I'm not supposed to move in yet.” She protested.

“He said I should make sure you come with us.” The driver insisted.

She rolled her eyes and muttered something under her breath, but she came along.

The ride home was quiet. She stared out the window. I stared at her and thought about one thing I had tried so hard to keep.

I had one more thing to do—Kill Chris. It had to be more convincing that someone went missing. No one messes with my girl and gets away with it. Guess following Sia's schedule and her movements did pay off.

I had to make sure Chris doesn't wake up to the next English class and my plans were already in motion. I smiled to myself, as I watched the gates of the house open.

Dad sat down, his hands crossed over Sharon. She looked way too young than I had expected. No wonder Sia caught my eyes at first sight.

The table was already set with a full five-course meal, wine glasses, and most of the things we haven't had in months now. Dad went his way to impress his new wife's daughter. Typical.

I could tell the second Sia saw it, something shifted in her. She wasn’t ready for this.

“Keep your cool,” I whispered to her, brushing her hand lightly under the table.

She didn’t pull away. Knight joined in, looking like he had swallowed something sour. Great.

I watched him as he circled the table, his eyes scanning Sia, then landing on me.

“What’s your problem?” I asked him.

He leaned close, his voice low enough so the others wouldn’t hear. “Are you really dating her? You know she’s going to be our sister.”

“You never cared what happened to me,” I shot back. “Why do you now?”

He gave me that arrogant smirk. “Just saying. Don’t screw this up for the family. I wouldn't want a bastard son tainting this family's image.”

I leaned closer. “I see your hatred hasn't passed down after giving you the pass as the best hockey player, uh?”

“Just keep it from Dad.” He patted my shoulder, then walked off like he had won something.

Bastard? I scoffed, my mind drifting back to the things I had to let go for Knight. I wasn't sure what he was planning, but I hoped Sia wasn't part of it cause I was definitely not going to let her go this time.

We all sat down. Sia, my dad, Sharon, Knight, me.

I watched her across the table. She was holding it together, barely. Picking at her food and avoiding eye contact.

Dad clinked his glass. “So, Sia,” he said casually. “Do you have a boyfriend?”

  • WRONG TWIN, RIGHT KISS   Still In Love With Knight.

Sia's Pov Despite finding Richard better, I wanted Knight. The part of me that wanted Knight wasn't going to rest until I had him. It was him I wanted, nothing more. All this time, Amy was doing her best to ‘talk’ some sense into me. And there was I who didn't give a shit. Why should I? I was grown enough to make my decisions. “I don't know why you're finding it hard to let me do what I want—” I said to Amy the last time we had seen each other - and that was a week ago. Ever since that moment, Amy didn't call me - I didn't bother to reach out either. The only times we talked were when we saw each other in class - and this talk didn't last as long as it should - it felt like we were strangers - not strangers - enemies. I hated it. I hated it that Richard was coming between me and my best friend. But why should I care? When did it get to the point that she'll dictate who I should be with? I never tried such to her. Another week arrived. My relationship with my mom somehow blo

  • WRONG TWIN, RIGHT KISS   Dawning Reality.

Sia's Pov It's been a week since Richard saved my ass. From that club - the man in it. Everything seemed to be better at home, although my mom and I hadn't said a word to each other. What was there to talk about? At some point, I would blame her for this. If she didn't do what she did to piss me off, I wouldn't make up my mind to be there. One way or the other, all of these were her fault. This week, the school was on a break. Good thing for me. Amy and I would catch up, and I'll catch up with the things over here. Especially holding a conversation with Richard, whom I haven't spoken to in a while. “Good morning—” I looked up, smiling. “Good morning, Mr. Smithfield. Good morning, Mom.” I looked around the table before facing them again. “What about Richard? And Knight? Where—” “Rehearsals, Sia.” My stepfather answered. “Campus is closed for the week, according to the news on the portal. How come?” I caught up with a chair and sat on it. “Do they have to?” “Yes—”

Sia's Pov Hours later, I recovered from the incident. Not completely, but it was good to be home. Home again. Amy did not leave my side for a second and it seemed as though she had something she was hiding from me. I couldn't tell what it was. I just knew something was wrong, I didn't know what. “How do you feel?” “Better—” It was the truth. “Now that I'm back home, I feel very much better.” “That's good to know.” She adjusted. “What exactly happened? Do you want to tell me? I need to know before I leave. Also, I'm mad at you for not telling me on time before heading to that bathroom. Imagine Richard wasn't there to get you, you could have been raped. And who would be blamed? Me.” There was shock on my face. I couldn't even hide it. “What did you say?” I asked, more than confused. “Did you say Richard was there? What was he even doing there at that time? How was he there?” “I wish I could answer that question, Sia.” “What?!” I choked on my tea. “Richard was ther

  • WRONG TWIN, RIGHT KISS   Drunken Sia.

Sia's Pov Two hours into the moment, my eyes spun. I could see clearly, of course. But I had too many drinks already, which I shouldn't have. “You're drunk—” Amy mentioned again. “No—” I shook my head as I tried to grab the bottle once again. “Trust me: I'm fine, Amy.” My eyes shut, and I rested on the couch - waiting for a miracle to happen. I shouldn't have come here - not now or ever. Although I felt very much better than I did. People who I looked at, the ones who danced, and the ones who attended to the orders the people asked for. And then, there were strippers. Dancers who concentrated on shaking their asses. “I'm fine—” I muttered and let out. “Amy, where's the drink? You didn't take it.” I looked at the table for it, then got up when I didn't see anything like it. “I need to dance.” The floor was filled, but there was space. More than enough space, even. When I caught up with the floor, I turned to make sure Amy was in sight. Many things were going on in my head

  • WRONG TWIN, RIGHT KISS   Night Out.

Sia’s POV I looked at myself in the mirror. “Such transformation.” I hailed as I looked at Amy from a distance through the mirror. “This is so beautiful.” Despite not wanting to be at that club, I still needed to tell her the truth. “I'm glad you like it.” My friend walked closer. “We're almost ready. All that is remaining is your dress. Get ready - wear it while I'm getting ready. I'll be with you before you know it.” “Thank you, Amy.” I got off the dressing chair, caught up with the bed. Then I took the dress we selected, checking it out the next moment before making up my mind to wear it. “Fair—” I groaned when I had worn it. At least, it was not very tight. Not as tight as I expected it to be. “Oh, Sia. You look stunning.” It was at that same moment someone knocked on my door. I didn't expect anyone. Rachel wasn't cleaning my room until tomorrow, and I'm not sure we told Richard about taking us. “Are you expecting someone?” I asked Amy. She glanced at me, so many q

  • WRONG TWIN, RIGHT KISS   A Plan Tonight.

Amy's Pov Instead of making it to school, I was at the gate. Although the housekeeper made me understand that all was well with my friend, I still needed to come and see for myself. “I'm here to see Sia.” “Miss Amy.” The man who worked at the gate did not hesitate to open up. And I walked in, smiling and waving before walking away. Where the hell was she? I caught up with the main entrance and knocked, ringing the bell even. And then the door opened, while I sighted the woman who picked up my call when I called the house. “Good morning, Amy.” “Good morning, Miss Rachel.” She opened the door wider, and I walked in. My legs led me into the living room space, and I didn't stop looking around, expecting to see Sia. “Okay, where the hell is she?” Rachel looked at the tray of food on the diner. She looked at me and let out. “She was here. Just now, I left the tray for her.” The woman explained. “I'm sure she's in her room or something. Could you maybe check around?” O

  • WRONG TWIN, RIGHT KISS   The Bait.

Richard's Pov Everything I could do to make her look at me, didn't work. Not one single bit. As a family, we were seen in public. During evenings when the press were not around - when so many people minded their businesses. Tonight, Dad decided it was right to visit the mall so we could go groce

  • WRONG TWIN, RIGHT KISS   Talk With Chris.

Knight’s Pov “What?!” I burst into laughter, completely abandoning my phone. “What, Chris?” Chris himself was laughing. “I know. I know.” He laughed out loud. “That's the same thing I wanted to do, I just was too embarrassed to do it. Why would he think I have a hand in the situation when I don'

  • WRONG TWIN, RIGHT KISS   Mr. Smithfield’s Awareness.

Knight’s Pov It's been three weeks since my family was merged with that of Sia. I didn't care much. As long as my tripod was still intact, and nothing has affected my live videos so far. All day, whenever I was free from class and rehearsals with my Dad and brother, I was either eating or attendi

  • WRONG TWIN, RIGHT KISS   Talk About It.

Sia's Pov This was not even a bad idea. I sat in the front row of the court and watched. Knight could be seen holding up his tripod, he was setting it up so that his fans could watch. What did he even gain from doing this? On the other hand was Richard, whom I didn't give a fuck about. At least
